Your thoughts on how a froch vs hopkins fight would play out..
That is very magnanimous of Edward with Warren being Cleverlys manager and all that.

This is all getting a bit silly, good luck to Bernard still making money at 48. Why should Froch fight him? Get brownie points for bashing up an old man? Take risks at a higher weight? Lets leave that to Cleverly, who although about half Bernards age may need the same help from the judges that Joe Calslappy got. Boxing fans know who's quality and who's not nuff said.

In my opinion no fighter should be changing weight unless he has cleaned up the division and there is nobody else to fight worth while.

Froch walks him down and stops him.

Simple, Froch has a rock chin and Hopkins punches like a fairy now.

I not a huge Froch fan, but what I said is true.

Froch has a chin and Hopkins can't punch.

Calzaghe has a good chin but he managed to drop him and Taylor managed to do the same to Froch. Anyone can go down when they are open to a shot and not concentrating.

Calzaghe KO Record = 32 KOs in 46 fights
Hopkins KO Record = 32 KOs in 63 fights

    Calslappy?

I'd rather get punched by Hopkins to be fair. What's that, 10 years since his last knockout?

Calzaghe has been retired for 5 years and his last KO was only 7 years ago.

Froch has bigger fish to fight like Ward, Bute and possibly a decider against Kessler. He will then move up in weight.

Froch has said he'll retire after his next few fights.

    He won't move up.

They all say that but money talks and if Cleverly establishes himself at the light heavy then it will be a naturally big fight and we all know Carl can't resist.

    Nice one

To be honest, when they announced Calzaghe v Hopkins I thought what a fucking waste of time Hopkins doesnt mean anything but to be fair he has gone on to have some very good results. Giving Pavlik his first loss (all be it by dragging him up a weight), Pascal and Cloud.

Im sure more people put their head in their hands and groan when a decent fighter is scheduled to face Hopkins because in my eyes it is a waste of time. All we are watching is so eone who is clever at getting away with a few things like Ward. It doesnt fill anyone with excitement to know a Hopkins or Ward fight is on its way
