I'm not a huge Floyd fan, but fair is fair. He's spent years creating his legacy.
    Let Canelo start his own.
Sure did spend a lot of years cherry picking and creating that legacy such as avoiding Kostya and then Pacquiao (altough I think PAC and MAY both avoided each other). Did not fight Mosley till he was over the hill. Same applies to Cotto. Picked on smaller guys like Hatton and Marquez. But everyone get's all butthurt when he's not the one bullying and has to fight a bigger fighter at 154.
    Strange that.
The majority of floyds fights floyd has always been the smaller man in the ring against his opponents.

He is a welterweight no more no less.

Canelo is headed for a huge fall and trout was just the start.

Bottom line is guys, canelo has to accept whatever floyd wants or he could just have another rematch with a ryan rhodes type fighter to keep that massive padded undefeated record.

    Thats right.

Floyd just kept ducking a quitter in Kostya Tszyu

And as for manny, we all know what happened with this guy.

What the fuck you think he's trying to do? You start a legacy by going after the best. Which is exactly what Alvarez is trying to do.

Mayweather himself said he wanted to defend his WBA Junior Middleweight title after fighting Guerrero. In order to do that he needs to fight at 154. The WBA has already stated he was never stripped of the title and he's still there Super Champion.

Seems like he's willing to fight at 154 as long as he's not fighting Alvarez.

let Floyd fight Alexander and Canelo take on Lara, cause it's another May/Pac meaning it's not gonna happen

90% chance it will be one but he's the only top guy available for that time, seeing how Bradley faces Marquez in September, Pacquiao faces Rios in November, and Malignaggi is about to face Broner

Even more reason to face Alvarez

I'm not saying he shouldn't but if he's refusing to fight him at 154 and Canelo is refusing to come down, then I have no interest in a fight that wont happen, just like May/Pac, so both should just go on to the best available in their weight division without the drama

Yes, why doesnt the best, highest paid athlete on earth disadvantage himself against an overrated light heavyweight come fightime!

Canelo will weigh TWO stone (25-30lbs) more than floyd come fight time!

If coming down in weight is so bad why doesnt canelo go up in weight and fight andre ward which would be another mega showdown.

Floyd ducks no one and since he destroyed guerrero after a year off and a stint in prison the hate seems to have intensified against him.
Maybe cuz Andre Ward hasn't been cleared by doctors to even train let alone fight. And only a fool would think Alvarez-Ward would make as much as Alvarez-Mayweather

Some people hate Floyd so much and want him to lose so bad that almost anything is viewed as fair play.
You seriously think Alvarez should come down to 147? A weight he hasn't fought in, in over 3 years and a weight his body won't even let him make?
Of course floyd/canelo makes the most money but there are other options for him if he cant make the weight.

Take your pick and fight someone you probably dont outweigh.

    Golovkin
    Martinez
    Geale
    Quillin
    Julio Cesar Chavez Jr
Pirog Soliman Sturm Macklin, and Murray

VD, you expect any boxer to fight someone at a 30lbs disadvantage?

    Come on.
None of them make the money a Mayweather fight would make. Are you seriously trying to tell me Alvarez should try and make 147 when he hasn't done it in over 3 years and last time he tried he missed by 4 pounds?
It was ok for PBF to come in @ 160 vs JMM .... what a joke

PBF is just about out of tin cans to fight.

Are you kidding me?? Whatever next? The Welterweight champion wants to fight in his own division against a man that has just publicly called him out. How dare you Floyd?

Take a pill. Do you follow the sport? Marquez and Floyd had a contracted weight of 144 and another contract that would give Marquez 300 grand per pound over. Floyd weighed 146 and paid his 600 k and probably weighed the same the night of the fight. He was 2 pounds heavier then Marquez.

This is a case of what goes around comes around, Manny has abused weights since Oscar, and the internet and casual fans gave him a pass. I think this fight is garbage but I don't want to hear crying now that Floyd's doing it.

Wonder if canelo will expect manny to fight him at 154 or perhaps a catchweight? (But then mannys too small now isnt he..lol)

If it happened it would be the fight of the year with plenty of knockdowns, cuts and bruises...but when floyd beats both of them in a complete one sided style by outboxing its called boring and a snoozefest
