Cleverly would go to Super-Middle for a Froch fight

Nathan Cleverly's father Vince Cleverly says the Welshamn would step down to fight Carl Froch | Boxing News | ESPN.co.uk

Apparently it would be a one time deal but Cleverly's dad is saying they would drop in weight to fight Carl Froch. I see no chance of this fight happening, especially as Froch is with Matchroom and Cleverly is with Warren. Hearn & Warren are a bit like Schaefer & Arum at times.

I also think Froch would make more money fighting Groves, let alone Ward, Kessler again or Hopkins.

I'd much rather see this than Froch v Ward or Hopkins, though you're right about it being quite unlikely. I'm not sure about Cleverly coming down though, I doubt he'd be able to make 168 comfortably.

Froch is certainly in demand if “world champions” fighters are willing to drop down in weight to accommodate a big money fight. I think Froch would beat Nathan at his own weight class.

If Froch hangs around long enough and Cleverly jumps ship to Matchroom with his title then that could be built up into a big PPV event by Sky and Hearn. While he's with Warren less than zero chance of it happening.
