Take the '1 inch punch' for example. He pushes an out of balance and out of stance guy over a chair, he can't correct his balance because the chair is in the way of were his back foot should go - so he falls to the chair.

If your centre of gravity is moved past your heels then you will either correct your footing, or LOOSE your balance.

It's a simple demonstration of how unbalancing an opponent can make him vulnerable.

But to bruce lee fanatics, it's just bruce lee generating the power to explosively send an opponent flying in one punch, as if it's dragon ball z or something... These people claim to have a respect and passion for martial arts, but are dumbing it down - instead of stance and unbalance, it's "wow bruce lee punched like a cyborg"
it's a demonstration of economy of motion and not telegraphing your movements.

JKD kicks for example are (should) all be delivered from the same stance.

as for dan inosanto etc. then you should know the JKD world is very much split in terms of what JKD is/should be. If it's JKD as taught by Inosanto then it's 'concepts' and much less the techniques that Lee taught. I really like Silat as a system - again there are different styles, good and bad teachers etc
