..... and that's cool, bro. All respect to you.
No fighter in the history of boxing has ever been universally liked. But you and I can discuss things logically and rationally, because you're not so consumed by biased hate, that you would immediately dismiss everything someone else says to you..... unlike another someone I will choose not to mention at this time.

Bro.... Douglas was decked by a vicious uppercut from one of the hardest punchers in history. PLUS.... he was clearly dominating the fight to that point. He was pissed that he made a mistake, and allowed himself to get caught.
MUCH different than DLH against B-Hop. Yes... as you clearly put it.... Oscar was not going to win that fight no matter what. When he went down from that glancing body shot, he pounded the canvas again and again and again (bad acting job). Everybody and their brother questioned not only the punch, but the fight itself. BIG DIFFERENCE from the Douglas fight.
I can tell this to you, because you're a logical thinking adult. I mention it to the other guy, whose name will remain unsaid, and all he does is begin with the insults and shit. Which is why I've given up on the use of logic with him.

Yes he did, Brock. And even though you intensely disliked Trinidad, as you said yourself, you're adult enough and man enough to give him his props on that. He lost convincingly? Yes he did. I've always been adult and man enough to admit THAT. But again..... we're discussing this like two rational adults.

.... and again, that's fine, Brock. To each his own. We all have our own tastes. One thing I
can tell you about Trinidad though, is that he enjoyed fighting inmensely. He came into the ring with a smile, and enjoyed every single thing about the fight game. He loved representing his country, and that's why he's so beloved here in Puerto Rico. He was also extremely fan-friendly. Never did he turn away a request for an autograph or picture. I met him personally, and can attest to that.
He made excuses when he lost? Yes. So do a lot of other WINNING fighters. Like I proved to the other dude although he won't admit it..... you lose your undefeated record.... 99% chance you'll be making excuses. It goes with the territory. Only a damn fool would say only this fighter does it, "but not MY fighter". And no... Oscar was not prone to make excuses. But he had plenty of other things I didn't like. Like I said, to each his own.
Always a pleasure discussing issues with a fellow adult.
