No we should keep it, just like the comma, it is a vital part of anyone's grammar.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

I wonder what would happen if we wrote the way we spoke?

One of the debaters thought it would simply run its course and that the fact that its misused so much pretty much guarantees its extinction. One of its main detractors was a woman from Britain. I'll try to find the podcast.

Every time I see a sample of a 'young' person's writing, I am appalled. The penmanship is childish, the spelling is worse, and ...well, it is (or would that be "it's"?) all messed up. We used to get beat for things like that.

Its is a good one lol

It is without doubt a 140 character world. People tell me a write like a girl because it is neat. The same is said of my brother. Using a pen just happened to be a big part of life. I used to joke with friends when the hand held gadgets first came out that language and writing would devolve to a series of grunts and charcoal drawings in caves.
