In my opinion, David Haye, Malik Scott, Bryant Jennings, possibly Pulev, Povetkin or even Odlanier Solis would all at least have a great chance to beat him. I think Thompson just looks so slow now, and he's not going to have an easy time hurting most fighters like he did Price, the man is not a hard puncher for his size.

I disagree with everyone but I'll let you slide on Pulev.

Haye throws 1 punch at a time, fights from distance, and has shown he's unwilling to mix it up with a heavyweight that big. UD Thompson (in the US of course). I just really don't like Haye vs anyone he doesn't have a great shot of knocking out. He's got gobs of talent but never has used it properly...that's what he gets for having some fruitcake spin class instructor as his trainer. Haye should have hired Freddy Roach

    Scott is pure garbage

Jennings is young and quick, but has he ever had to open up a fighter like Thompson? Until he does I'll side with Tony.

Povetkin is one dimensional and a flake...you'll see

Solis is fat and looks for 1 punch too

Tony Thompson is like the tortoise in the fable the Tortoise and the Hare...he's got a slow and steady workrate, an excellent defense, and he wins rounds. Hard to beat that, it's very difficult to beat that

Your are delusional, pal. Thompson has too much experience on his side for me to say that Mansou would beat him but Price? Id bet my house on Mansour to knock him out within 6 rounds..

Price isn't even on the level of Michael Grant.

Mansour is 40 and had just over as many professional fights as Price has had. Yes Price would beat Mansour like he stole something....which knowing Mansour's history he probably would have. Monte Barrett would beat Mansour. the man is fighting Maurice Harris next...WHO? EXACTLY!

Adam Booth is a twat. David Haye has natural ability and there are 2 things that have held him back from achieving more in the heavyweight division #1 His piss poor attitude and #2 His piss poor trainer.

Michael Grant would be a good opponent for Price to rebound against. Chinny as hell, not the biggest puncher in the world, and coming off a KO loss.

The problem with Mansour, outside of his tendency to get put in jail, is that he hasn't stepped up the competition. He needs to take a risky fight. In my opinion, it's now or never.

Currently its fury as i said.
Everytime he gets in the ring I think his trousers will fall down or he gets knocked out.
Then the guy sings after a ko which i find quite amusing.
I dont want him to fight haye next as theres alot more other fights he can entertain us with.

You really think Malik Scott is garbage? Why? I thought he performed very well in his last fight, despite the result, which in my opinion, was wrong. I also think he beats Derek Chisora in his next fight. I'm not suggesting he beats Wladimir Klitschko or anything crazy like that, but I think he would beat a lot of the other top ten heavyweights.

You think Malik Scott is good enough to beat Tony Thompson? He got a SD vs Glavkov and you're telling me he would beat a guy who is a top 5 heavyweight? He can't punch with any power, he's another guy who likes to fight on the outside which is Advantage Thompson. And the guy just hasn't fought quality opponents hence his record being what it is.

Scott could very well beat Chisora but Del Boy is mental

I thought Scott beat Glazkov by a good number of rounds regardless of the verdict. Did you see the fight?

With regard to Thomspon, if he comes in the same shape he has against Price twice now, Scott jabs to a decision if he gets out of the first five rounds.

He won't out jab Thompson. Thompson has an 81 1/2" reach and Scott has a 76" reach....so yeah guess again

Scott is a very smart fighter and technically looks one of the best heavyweights out there. The trouble is he hasnt been in with a good big heavyweight. Glaskov is good and I think Scott won that fight and I think hell beat Chisora easily too, but put in against a good fighter who is the same size or bigger I have to think Scott will be found out because he cannot punch for shit.

Start again, fight often. British level fighters, get some wins, then step up a bit again. He needs more fights and lots of them.
