I don't fault the ref at all! When you're taking a count, you ALWAYS start getting up at 8. By the count of 10, you need to be standing up, alert, and ready to continue.

If you want to be a stupid ass like Malik and start getting up at 9 and a half, you're going to get counted out. He has nobody to blame but his own stupid ass.

He looked like a guy who didn't want to continue and was happy getting counted out until 9 1/2

Here's the deal, the ref was counting Malik was alert and all resting on his knee, but he didn't make the move to get up until 8. Get up at 7 you'll get a STANDING 8 count anyway.
