Maybe... but you're talking about him, because he's made a successful career from boxing, and he doesn't even know you exist. So his parent(s) "missspelling" his name doesn't seem to have hindered his subsequent life.

I'm talking about him because yes he is a successful boxer but he's also quite a character and I don't know what exactly to make of him. Is he "special" or is that just part of his act....with Chisora, I can't tell. With Haye I know the way he acts is all preplanned and stupid because he's genuinely a diva. With Chisora who is to say? He seems happier being a fighter, but he also comes off as more than a bit dumb sometimes...sure he gets punched in the head for a living but I don't know he just seems a little "off".

And considering Wlad has all but runout of decent challengers, Chisora actually wouldn't be so bad (not that he has a chance of winning).

Oh right.. He's not acting he's proper mental. A wrong'un. However, if we judge him purely as a boxer, then he's got himself in a pretty good position to be a future Wlad opponent already. And considering Wlad has all but runout of decent challengers, Chisora actually wouldn't be so bad (not that he has a chance of winning).

No doubt Chisora is a solid boxer...I don't know if his mental state helps him or hurts him more often than not and that not knowing does pique interests. I think providing Dereck can keep on his current path he'll get a shot at Wlad very soon. I would even say 1 more fight and he'll be ready so long as the guy he fights is a top 10 guy.

Chisora could be in some very good fights, he's got an interesting style to match up with. He's a pressure fighter with little power, so I think he could really have a solid fight vs Wladimir even. Chisora won't win of course (My opinion but pretty much a lock) but the style matchup would be good. Chisora-Arreola would be a good fight or Stiverne or heck he matches up stylewise with quite a few fighters.

I don't rate him very highly. However, being a nutter is definitely a benefit to him. Like you said he's a pressure fighter without a big punch. Which means he makes for pretty good heavyweight fights regardless of whether he's getting whipped or not.

Chisora-Arreola is a style match up dream. Like you say, he matches up well with several contenders - time to fight one or two of them! Or else he just becomes a permanent yardstick.
