Would Martinez' pressure bother Rigo in any way?

Martinez would have quit boxing if he'd lost against Romero. He's now going to look for the biggest payday he can get and it may be Rigondeaux. If it does happen Rigondeaux will put on an absolute boxing masterclass and I'd be amazed if it was allowed to go on past six rounds.

Absolutely. Martinez is a feel good story, but Rigo is a rare boxing gem. I'm not sure it is close. Hopefully, Martinez gets paid for the beat down.

Rigo needs room to throw his punches, his feet are very wide, at least in the handful of fights I have seen. He also likes, it seems to pick his spots and to turn his angles. A guy that can pressure him, stay on him, may give him problems. By not giving him the range he needs to punch effectively, not letting him get to choose his punches, and be taking away the angles.
I don't know how good he is....he beat Donaire, but he never showed me much. Montiel sucked, and he beat him, but I never thought he was too good.

This is comical that people are giving Martinez a chance. He has no chance, 0 chance. Rigo is sheer class and Kiko is so easy to hit. Rigo also has very good power and more importantly accuracy. Kiko walking in would be picked apart. It could end in round 1 or 2.

This is the same Kiko who lost to Munroe, Nlovu and Frampton. Rigo is a class above these.

He likes to throw that uppercut from a distance, too. He throws it as a counter off the right hand, but he'll throw it if you stand around and wait as well. But he will throw it from far away; he doesn't seem to punch well in close, likes his distance, in what I have seen of him.
I have to see more of him to see how to fight him...

Hell no, he'd more than likely get iced. Would be nice to see Rigondeaux against anyone notable though, going by the treatment HBO is giving him. In no other sport would Donaire still be getting more attention after being outclassed like that, yet HBO are still backing him at an even higher weight division. Donaire hasn't looked good since he was at bantamweight ffs, and Rigondeaux can't get the time of day. Pisses me off.

12 fights as a pro only for Rigondueax.

Not beyond the realms of possibility that Kiko could wear him down. It took a great shot by Frampton to KO him but does Rigo have the power to discourage Martinez?

I believe his quick punches would certainly make Kiko take a back step and I also believe that Kikos power is hugely overrated because although he stopped Romero, he hit him bang on the chin numerous times, proper full force overhand rights and not once did he manage to get Romero on the floor, in fact Romero took a couple of them with some seeming like they had no effect whatsoever.

I'd bet on a late stoppage for Rigo.

i think this would be an ugly fight. Martinez would refused to be deterred and Rigo would refuse to be engaged. I see a lot of stiff arms, face locks, spinning etc.
