@FinitoElDinamita and @ykdadamaja - because it sounds like you guys are big supporters of Kid Choc - have you heard who is next opponent will be? I know they offered a paltry sum to Rosado. Have they made any offers to Martin Murray? Let's hope it's a top guy, otherwise they are really letting the prime of his career waste away.

It certainly had the round of the year.

Which round? Again i dont think any of the rounds were as good as some in the Lebedev-Jones, Figueroa-Aragawa fights. If there wasnt a Brit in this fight nothing would be said about it. The 6th and 12th were very good rounds but definitely not ROTY candidates

You are harsh, Barker coming back from that body shot was similar to Holyfield coming back after being rocked in round 10 with Bowe.

Yes it was a good round. Barker for up, ate some more shots and then managed to finish the round on top doing some damage himself. My problem as I said early there was no moments where I was like "holy shit" how are they doing this. No massive bombs landed. People can argue all they want about what makes fight of yr and round if yr but at end of the day it's down to both guys landing big punches to the point ur screaming at the ref to stop the fight. Parts of the fight showed good technical ability and parts showed boxers heart and parts were just a slugfest so it was a good fight but it didn't have that bit extra to make it fight of the year (unless your a big fan o Barker and as I said you would get more excited about the ordinary in this fight).

I particularly like Kid Chocolate's toughness. He reminds me a bit of Felix Trinidad, but without all of the savy and skill.

Macklin or Murray can be HUGE fights- because after that the road leads right to Martinez.

Martinez HAS to get in there with either Quillin or GGG. His career wouldn't be complete unless he does. I give Martinez props for going up against the hard punching Chavez, but skills wise you knew it was a mis-match.

The only other fights that Martinez may get a pass on for his career is IF he comes down to a catch and fight Mayweather, or he goes up a few extra pounds- which he re-hydrates to anyways- and fight Froch or Ward.

A Quillin/Chavez Jr. fight would also be a good scrap. But reports have it that Chavez doesn't want to stay at Middleweight- so it has to be a catch weight or nothing at all.
    Bigger man George, bigger punch!

Kid Choc won't fight Martinez unless the HBO/Showtime/TR/GB feud miraculously heals, which I doubt. Can't blame either Quillin or Martinez for that fight not happening.

Macklin taking on a puncher in his next fight would be a mistake in my opinion.

Murray is a good option for Kid Chocolate. The big issue there is Murray's Visa Problem.

Maybe Geale would take shorter money, which seems to be what Golden Boy is offering for Kid Choc fights, because he wants the shot at a title.
