    The whole soundtrack to the film Amalie captures Paris and its quirky nature,the romance ,reflections off rainy streets, the smells and scurrying are there in the music.
    This is just one that paints a picture;

    For many reasons. The perfect match. The sense of time and British noir that it evokes. The audacity of using a harpsichord for Jazz

    You can not talk about movie themes without including Bernard Herrmann without whom many Scorcese and Hitchcock films would not be the same

    First from the original J.Lee.Thompson "Cape Fear" that Scorcese remade with Elmer Bernstein re -arranging Hermanns terrifying score.

    and then Taxi Driver his avant garde/jazz masterpiece

    The movie isn't any good, but the fact that two of the coolest people ever collaborated makes this pretty special.

    This is one of Ry Cooders best compositions imo, set a pretty enjoyable flick as well.

    I'll have to think of some more. Fenster and Greenbeanz already called few of my favourites, wicked thread.

    There's a beautiful scene in Navy Seals where the seal team skydives off a plane.. THis theme starts playing and shit gives me goosebumps everytime..
