    Default Another Movie Thread

Alright guys, let's do this! Let's get sensitive! Even though this is a boxing forum everyone has their soft side.

Any movies hit a soft spot and caused you to tear or even cry?

When I was a kid The Lion King and Terminator 2 got me to cry. For obvious reasons, the death of Mufasa f*cked me up! And the scene where the Terminator fulfilled his mission and had to self-terminate. OH MAN!

Most recently, a couple of years ago, my brother came home from the movies and he knew I was going to watch the same movie that night. He told me "Holy sh*t dude! You have no clue what you're walking into." And I thought it's an Adam Sandler movie, what the hell does he mean? With that being said, my father and I never had a good relationship and I always wished we did.

If you couldn't guess, the movie I'm talking about is Click and the scene where Adam Sandler's character last saw his father before he died DESTROYED ME! I was sitting in the movie theater crying my eyes out!

    That's my moment of being a b*tch...

When you were a kid the Lion king made you cry? How old are you, that made me cry as like a 4 year old. Saw that though in the theatres oh yeah. Signature moment of my childhood.

Children of Men is POWERFUL after you watch it more times, you can slow it down and make sense of everything. It's crazy, I didn't cry but I was like shocked with how powerful it got. And then just starts back up. Damn.

    9 or 10 maybe...

I have this uncanny ability to put myself in someone else's shoes and feel what they feel and at that moment being Simba would've hurt.

Lion King LMAO, I was about twelve when that came out, young pups around here. For some reason I don't cry often specially over a movie, but I did like the ending of ET when I was about you guy's age.

well you may as well be

blokes are allowed to cry at only two films ever made in history in 2 places

    i) when Rocky gets up in Rocky I, after his corner has told him to stay down, and waves a stunned Apollo Creed back in to fight on

ii) when Pele's 90th minute overhead kick goes in to equalize and make the score 4-4 in Escape to Victory

    now get it sorted

I've never really cryed over a film but the film "ELEPHANT MAN" made me shed a few tears and a great big lump in me throat!A great film!If any of you guys have'nt seen this film then watch it,its truly a great film.A warning though you'll have a great chance of crying so watch it alone and let the tears role!

A fantastic performance from Anthony Hopkins and John Hurt(Elephant man)
Im a fully grown 27 and its the first and only film that makes me cry, just watching this trailer brings me sadness flowing back.I have'nt seen it for ages, but i'll have to watch it again with a beer or two and have a good old cry over it!
Brilliant film.Watch it to those who have'nt already!!

one of the best classic films you'll ever see trust me!!!

Didn't watch too many movies as a child, and I can't recall ever crying because of movie or tv show, but my mum would remember if I did for sure But I do remember suffering a bit as an adult when Faye Dunaway's character was shot and killed at the end of the movie Chinatown.

Okay, it's no surprise that I would cry during a movie.

Honestly though, I never used to cry at all during a movie, but then I had my son, and somehow that fuked up my emotions, and now I cry at any happy or sad thing easily.

So I'll just mention a couple movies that really make me cry.

Simon Birch - I was a complete wreck for probably a good hour after watching this for the first time. I love this movie, and I have watched it probably 20 times. It still gets to me!!!

Saving Private Ryan - I lose it when Tom Hanks dies.

About A Boy - When Hugh Grant gets on stage to help Marcus, the tears start coming. It's such a sweet and touching moment, that I can't help but get choked up.

A Perfect World - Man, again, when Kevin Costner is dying at the end, and the boy keeps crying out "Butch, Butch" forget about it, I am a total wreck.

    *** Spoiler ***

Oh Yah, I remember one, that really bummed me out. In the movie "Of Mice and Men", when Gary Sinise kills his simpleton brother, played by John Malkovitch.

I had to read that book in high school. Suprisingly, I enjoyed it and I HATE READING.
