To counter argue a little. I remember there was a bit of a debate on here after the fight on just how accurate, or inaccurate Floyd's own punching was.

Firstly - if I remember correctly, Floyd's accuracy (in terms of raw percentage, black and white numbers) was a little off, lower than usual.

A few or more of us here argued that Floyd was hitting gloves a fair bit, I think particularly early-on, owing to Oscars guard/ defence. He didn't move his head much (which Floyd has actually gone on record to say he was in disbelief of during the fight) but his hands were solid.

This lead me to believe that Winky would definitely beat him if they ever fought but then he quickly fell off so that idea was a long lost archive. However, I did think at the time that there was a bit of a blue print there.)

But I'd be interested to know if Floyd's accuracy in that fight has remained the lowest it has been since his fight with Dela Hoya. It would be interesting because Canelo likes to do a bit of hands-high-walk-you-down.

Oscar is the phoniest twit I've ever heard, everything he says is dogshit and cringeworthy. Having said that, he did put up a good effort against Floyd and was in the fight until about the halfway point. I think a lot of that had to do with him having an equalizer in his left hook, Floyd was probably wary of forcing openings while Oscar was still fresh. Once he had timed the jab Floyd landed with a lot more authority, and all of Oscars offence boiled down to little flurries in close since he couldn't dictate range anymore, half the time he would finally get inside just to hold and flurry with one arm tiring himself out.

If there is any blueprint there, it's one for Floyd to use. I'm not sure Alvarez is as good as DLH still was at that point, and he doesn't have the big punch or experience to keep Floyd honest.

Oscars just hyping the fight. If he believed what he said, he could have rematched floyd. (not like people wouldn't pay for it) Its easy to talk smack from behind a desk when someones doing the fighting for you. Oscar just has to eat crow; Canelo is the one that has to eat the leather.

Even if Floyd blanks Canelo and shuts him out. Oscar still stands to make money. Canelo will still sell in Mexico and maybe the U.S. because he will have lost to the top guy in boxing. Golden boy would still co promote with Mayweather and get a piece of change off every one of his fights. He's doing the smart thing by hyping the fight because no matter who wins and loses, his bottom line doesn't change much.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

No doubt, would just be nice if was a good talker in some fashion. Any idea what kind of deal/options Golden Boy have with Mayweather anyways? I've wondered this, what's in it for both to say they "co promote" everything, obviously Floyd doesn't have the same kind of pull there.

Maybe the 'blueprint' was that Floyd gave Oscar the jab to get him to come to Floyd and throw other punches that are easier to counter off of.

I remember watching the fight and seeing Floyd jab alot to Oscar's left side of the face early on. Might have had an impact on Oscar not wanting to move his head inside the jab and land his money punch.

I watched the full fight again today how any1 can even say the fight was close is just crazy. I gave Oscar rounds 2,6,7 and 1 more round was close but I gave it to floyd. Oscar was only fighting in 1 or 2 flurys a round he just wasn't punching enough and most of his shots were missing. Floyd landed 207 shots at 43% Oscar was122 and 21% power punches floyd had138 at 57% to oscars 82 at 24% and that Judge who scored it 115 to 113 for Oscar should never be aloud to judge a fight again it was that bad.

It was a close fight you must really hate Oscar or you don't have a clue about boxing, not sure what one it is.

I admit I did want Oscar to win and I know others have said it was not close Floyd won easy but I saw Oscar winning but tiring out as usual. I had Floyd winning both fights with JLCastillo.

Dude you need to learn that just because you have an opinion does not mean it's a fact. You keep referring to it as a fact. I also think Oscar kept the fight real close I had it real close for Mayweather when I first saw it and then a draw the second time. The dude has been on this forum posting for a long time for you to say he doesn't know shit. Specially when a couple of us on this thread share the same opinion. You been listening to Floyd's bullshit too long you actually starting to believe it. You think Floyd won the Castillo fight when he was badly outlanded and that's a fact.

I never said anything was fact all I said was I honestly don't know how anyone could say Oscar won that fight and I stand by that. Anyone who think Oscar won that fight don't know shit about boxing IMO. The Castillo fight was real close it could of went to any 1 of them I just had floyd by a point but wouldn't argue if Castillo took it by 1 point.
