There is certainly evidence that some judges have taken 'gifts' particularly in the Far East.
Like all forms of politics a lot of what happens that is corrupt is subtle, unspoken and most definitely unwritten.
Boxing has since day one been corrupt in one form or another, so it might be argued that one of the 'skills' a fighter requires is the political connections that help in boxing. And those fighters who fall foul of such deeds, rather than have the fancy giving them sympathy, they should be criticized for not having the ability to overcome their political problems...
