LOL @ May looking at where Canelo's punch went.

Mayweather just needed to put a big red nose on him and honk it, 11-1 Floyd
Save all the "he was too young" bs, I've actually become more a fan of both![]()

Seriously, was the fix in tonight? a MD, 114-114 card, and the others 8-4 ish, if Alvarez had actually made it close he would have won

It was an easy fight for Mayweather, but I think most predicted it that way and this fight was never a genuine superfight. Canelo is overrated and in his own way has come through on the Chavez Jnr ticket. He isn't useless, but he isn't very good.
He fought stupidly for the first 6 in letting Mayweather outwork him so easily. I think Hatton and Cotto look even better in retrospect as they showed how to stifle Mayweather. You need footwork and a willingness to make it dirty. Alvarez like a plank decided to try and box. Just silly.
It reminded me a bit of Mayweather/Baldomir. Mayweather needs to stop fighting plodders with low output. I would like to see him face a boxer or someone with footwork who will let the hands go.

Boxing judging never ceases to amaze me. I know at this point I shouldn't be shocked at anything but damn.
I think the absolute most you could give Canelo was 3 rounds, and that's being generous.
