Alot of people thought Floyd had had it tonight. They massively over rated Alvarez.

Its never accurate to say "A" fighter did this against "B" fighter so this should happen against "C" fighter. In other words the Cotto fight doesnt mean sht when judging Alvarez.

40 wins with 30 KO's isnt overrated. But if he is over rated then Floyd beat him like he should beat an over rated fighter.

When a smaller older tired fighter can push Mayweather and Canelo cant..... I couldnt believe what I was watching in some parts of the fight. Canelo was so clueless, he had to lay on the ropes taking punches square in the face one after the other while he tried figuring out what to do

If that had been a fighter the same size as him he would have been knocked out

All excellent points above. For this reason, i was not impressed. It was supposed to be youth, speed and strength rushing in like Chavez did Roger May... instead, it really looked like Canelo thought he was going to outbox Floyd... and then didn't know what to do when he woke up out of his dream - in the middle of the ring.

I will say that being the type of athlete that he has demonstrated, Canelo will learn a tremendous amount from this fight, and will become a much better boxer because of it.

*Side note: Please recognize that Floyd just HANDLED a SuMwt in the ring tonight... Just like Martinez handled a LtHwt in Chavez, Jr. Big props

Canelo was overrated and I said that plenty of times in the build up to this fight and previous fights. He is a very good boxer but he is a level below Floyd. He is a world class fighter but is certainly not an all time great like people thoight he would be.

I wish Floyd would have fought Martinez a few years ago but Floyd is so careful with who he chooses to fight that he pronably will never lose his 0 which is a shame because we will never know how great he really is

Cotto and even Guerrero gave Floyd MUCH MORE of a competitive fight than Canelo did.
