Floyd Mayweather-Canelo Alvarez, a must see fight - ESPN
What are you talking about ?

Canelo was far more dangerous of a fight for Mayweather than Pac-Man. And look what happened there ? Manny is coming off being nearly decapitated by JMM and before that he lost to Bradley. (Yes. Yes I think Manny won against Bradley but having looked at the fight again. It was not the robbery people make out) Even Freddie Roach does not want to work with Manny or maybe Manny does not want to work with Freddie.

Let's face it the Pac-Mans bubble has been burst.

Honestly people are not going to give Floyd credit until he steps in the ring with the Klitschkos.....at the same time and beats them with one hand tied behind his back

I also get the feeling that Floyd has to win all his three or four of his remaining fights CLEARLY to get the decision. Any close fight and he won't get it. He is not liked in the ring or outside it. Plus people want to see that '0' go. The 114-114 draw was a disgrace and I even think the 117-111 was dubious.

I did not give Canelo a round.

The funny thing is I don't think Floyd destroyed Canelo or even put a clinic on him because Canelo was always in the fight and he was never badly shaken. But Mayweather won clearly

He will run Manny out the ring. Indeed I fear for Manny's health should this fight happen. As I see another Mayweather - Corrales or Mayweather - Gatti type beating for Manny.

We can't give Mayweather a win before he actually wins, even though he is undefeated.

Everyone in boxing knows that styles makes fights... and at this stage, Manny's style vs. Floyd's style is what is making that fight notion between them remain in the air.

Everyone pretty much summed up the issue that Marquez had a little extra pop in his shot the night he dropped Manny... thanks to Angel Heredia...

With that being said, let's see what happens for Manny-Rios and then ask again: Why not Manny Pacquiao, Floyd?

I still think Floyd v Pac could be an exciting fight. Pac lost a bit of speed but even so he is the only one I can think of that can give Floyd a run for his money with hand speed. I am not of the mind that the KO is going to alter Manny so much he will be a different fighter.

I would still like to see the fight.

Despite everyone saying Alvarez is the one person who could beat PBF its not true. The one person who can beat him is Pac.

    Heres why:

Pac has the speed to cut the ring off and the stamina to throw punches all fight with bad intentions on most punches. But would his chin hold up if he gets hit? hes got alot of miles now.

If Pacs chin can still hold up then it would be questionable to me if PBF would have enough power in his punches to keep Pac off of him at all.

Tho PBF may be the best defensive fighter and counter puncher he doesnt have the power of someone like JMM to keep Pac honest. Im not saying Floyd couldnt KO Pac im just saying if Pacs chin is like it was several years ago I would see it as highly unlikely.

I think Pac is just a bad match up for Floyd.

Of course all this depends on how faded Pac is.

    PS

If Pac isnt faded he could have a chance to win on points. If Pas is faded he becomes a punching bag somewhere right after mid fight.
