I am currently reading the Bible for kicks and God seems like a complete cunt. He decided to eradicate all life on earth and made the poor sod, Noah, collect 2 of every species on earth to put into a big boat. Now how big such a boat would be is unimaginable considering that Bible types disagree with evolution and that all the wealth of life on earth as we know it must have been collected and put on this boat. Did Noah and his kids search around the Amazon and collect up rare and exotic spiders and put them in compartmentalised plastic containers? Did they gather microscopes and make sure that the bugs were all distinct and unique and of both genders?

Then of course God regretted what he did and decided to never again eradicate life on earth. However, he got moody again and decided to blitzkrieg Sodom and Gomorrah. Also God was so warped that he decided to punish the people of Babel who built a tower to connect them with heaven and the punishment was to divide the human race into tribes with different languages so that they couldn't be so clever again. I guess as a second language instructor, God thinks I am the work of Satan and that all people who speak a second language will at some point need to be eradicated. Then of course there was God's stipulation that his chosen people must hack off their penises and how he would make childbirth as painful as possible to make women realise that humanity was rotten to its core.

The miracle to me is how anyone can believe in such a God. A God of spite, of revenge, of wrath and rage, of utter contempt for humanity. But then I see the user name NV Semin, which translates into Envy Semen and who clearly worships a deranged mythical lunatic. Idiots will believe whatever crap is handed on a page and the world proves it daily.

The Bible is a fun read just to see how inbred and warped religious people appear to have been. These days you would describe them as schizophrenics, but in those days it was all about visions. Who the fuck has a vision or shakes spasmodically at a religious gathering? Only people who aren't well.

It's comedy at best. The only reason people still adhere to that book is because of childhood indoctrination or trauma that has suddenly led to belief.

The Old Testament in particular is a treatment of religious deity as psychopath. If that is your Lord, then go right through those pearly gates, and enjoy.

Old Testament was over ~ 2000 ago, God showed his judgemental nature there for a reason or reasons. Now we (who choose) live under God's grace. You can only appreciate the grace after you know how severe is God towards unrighteousness and sin in people.

So basically you are saying God got older and is now more chilled out?

I don't think I appreciate the grace because I am not sinning like some of you religious people. I am not destroying the planet and buying stocks in the military and oil corporations, and claiming to be a Christian and thus because I am going to heaven, I can act how I want. As a non-believer, I believe in the here and now.

For me, much of the problem is about believers as they make excuses for the destruction. Christians are traditionally against trying to control global warming. They have a self built mechanism in that they are going to heaven and can ignore all the consequences. 'I'm a Christian, I fucked up. Sorry God. Open the gates, be a sport. Just forgive me'.

It is a deplorable attitude and abdicates responsibility. There are no chosen people, you live with what you have and make the most of what you can in the lifetime that you have. Life is better without the assumption of second chances and forgiveness. You can make mistakes in the lifetime, but it is all you have and if you fail, then that is your condemnation.

All I am trying to say that you cannot judge about the entire book and its message by reading just one chapter out of 66.

The rest is pretty much your business, God created you with the free will, who am I to judge you? Remember Mayweather? Only God can judge you. All your phrases like "I am good because I do or do not do this and that" are labelled "self-righteousness" in the Bible. This is the mother of all sins, this is what Sodom and Gommorah were punshied for in the first place. You can do whatever (I persoally do not care), I just warn you that you are going straight to Hell like that.

The Bible was written by man and is based upon the conjectures of man. There is zero evidence of God in this world and plenty about unhinged seers which the Bible is a document of. Science on the otherhand documents factually the evolution of life on earth and the universe around us. The Bible is useless next to science.

You think I may be going to hell, but I think I prefer that, considering him upstairs might be having an off day and has all the hallmarks of being a psychopath. However, the chap doesn't even exist. Self righteousness is about knowing yourself and your surroundings, Bible worship is self delusion. It is better for people to be the former as a world of rabid Christians or Muslims is a sickening and destructive mess.

The very fact that you suggest I am going to hell is part of the problem. You don't even know what hell is. You have no evidence for it beyond your ridiculous little tome. Christianity is responsible for genocide after genocide and I look at that and you with scorn and it is me going to hell?
