Thats the danger. Furys career is taking a hit.

Like him or not Haye accepted a fight that took him away from Pulev. Pulev may have defeated Fury, although looking at the fight with Tony Thompson (who looked even heavier than when he fought Price), again, as long as Fury fought disciplined and not offered his chin then he would quite easily out work Pulev.

Fury could now wait another 5 months and again Haye gets "injured" and pulls out in favour of a title shot.

If I was Furys manager id be looking at a fight with Thompson, Wach, Dimitrenko, Arreola etc, for November.

Thompson or Arreola would be the higher profile fighters. Arreola would be the one who would struggle with the reach and Height. As much as people would like to see him in a tough fight he might lose, if we want to see the Haye fight then he has to have a relatively easy fight and id see Arreola as the easier, more entertaining fight and a fight where he could really make a statement by getting an early stoppage.

I ,personally think Arreloa is a bad fight for both Haye and Fury , he has power and he is tough , it wouldn't shock me if Arrello beat both Haye and Fury , its a danger fight.

i watched a fair bit of fury v cunningham last night

before i had haye the strong favourite but i was thinking if fury can use his size he might be able to push the fight a bit and make it very uncomfortable for haye

i really cant see it now

Fury has found his level and no other fight out there will make him half as much as this makes domestically.

It's his cashing out fight, why do you think he's willing to wait over 4 months?

Hs not waiting. Peter Fury had said they might set up 2 more fights this year for him.

Well lets wait and see , rather than take a "might" as factual.

I guess he could fight a couple of binmen on Channel 5 as glorified sparring. He's hardly going to have 3 REAL fights withing months of each other though is he?

A fight in 4 months time means he gets to do nothibg serious in the meantime, so yes... He is willing to wait.

Ok, being serious, if you were Hennesey and you were going to line up a fight, who would you bring in as an opponent?

Have to be a familiar name, who will last rounds, or is known to and wont just cover up.

In fact Fres Oquendo who he was going to fight earlier this year would do!

Being serious if I was Hennesey id wait for the big payday from Haye.
To risky to take a big fight before that.
It not ideal being out for that long but , its about money at the end of the day.

Someone like Fres Oquendo would be less of a threat than Cunningham was. I doubt hed be any more of a threat than fighting a british journey man but he has a more legitimate name.

Being out nearly 5 months is too much, when you factor in the last time he fought, for someone whos still learning its a ridiculous amount of time to be out before such an important fight. If he fights him in Late October or November thats plenty of time to get past any injuries. Its worth the risk. Its a necessary risk.
