Going back to Lucas, I believe his problem is that he is doing mitts too much, he should work more the heavy bag like Floyd or Valero, developing the "snap" (he has the snap, but I mean training the ablity to sustain it for all 12 rounds) and punching output. Floyd by the way by the end of the camp is also throwing like 900 punches in 3 min (I saw the punch count in some 24/7).

Mosquera was a good fighter but he wasn't king kong. Panama had a shot in the arm with mass championship weekend yr earlier...helluva war btw.. and it was an insane enviroment but it also showed how a guy with ok pop could walk in on Valero early and land repeatedly.
I think both Lucas and Garcia edge Valero in a tough decision. Then again, Valera had hands of stone
From what I've seen and I may be coming at it with a tilt....seen Mosquera 3 times, Peterson at least 14...but Peterson def more consitent, faster feet, faster hands, sharper. Mosquera looked top class early in winning his trinket but hit often and then a wide plodding slugger with Valero. I believe both of these guys suffer from the same fault...they fall into fighting a not so smart fight, other dudes terms at times and get hit too much. Pretty much why I fully expected Matthysse to torch Peterson eventually. If Bradley and Khan are dropping you, Matthysse is ruining your day. At the end of the day you got two good boxers being detonated buy superior punchers. Mosquera went out slow and painful but had his moments, Valero stepped up, got up and ended it...Peterson went out like he was run over by Brinks truck. And to go totally bat shit crazy...I think Lucas was just as impressive in say the Judah fight. I know, fuckin nuts. Thought he fought a helluva fight, showed some boxing and closed like a brute and got jobbed on the cards. Thats the long answer of it, blame the rum.
Valero scaring the shit out of Barrios lol
