docu's nowadays are really well-produced, I got to learn about lots of things that evaded my understanding for a long time in just an hour or so programs...
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.
Sometimes a lecture is as good as a documentary and the TED talks are great for this. Here is one from the former wife of the guy who taught me about music when I was at University. Her name is Evelyn Glennie and she is widely regarded as the foremost percussionist of her era. She composes and performs all over the world but here she talks about something dear to my heart as a sonic artist. "How to listen". Bear with it, It is slow to start but will literally open your ears. Remember also that she started to go deaf at age 8 and was profoundly deaf by the age of 12.

There's nothing better than a great documentary IMO.
Some of my favorites...
Capturing the Friedman's - highly recommended, this will blow your mind especially if you go into it cold.
Thin Blue Line - about the murder of a police officer and the wrongful conviction of a suspect. This is classic.
Shoah - about the holocaust and those who lived through it. You'll have to watch this is segments though, given the fact that it's nearly 10 hours long lol.
Man on a Wire - Fantastic
Watching night of the fight Hatton's last stand with his failed comeback fight which is good.
Also watched When Ali came to Britain over the many years and his affinity with the country and beating up our champs and meeting his fans here.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Or just put this one on replay. dont get tired of it, so funny!
