Unreal. Not that it's likely, but imagine if he turns in a bad decision to top it off.

Felon with ankle bracelet gets 7 day hall pass to commit robbery abroad, and gets paid for it! Dope

Nothing wrong with this, he does need to be rehabilitated back into society somehow.

No problem with that, but does he need the added hassle of this coming out as he prepares to judge a huge fight. Surely there are bouts in the USA this weekend that he could judge in?

How many chances of rehabilitation should he get? Criminal record back to 1975. Offense in 2010 and 2012. America is fucking retarded. Ex cons caught drinking and driving and carrying deadly weapons and hes put under house arrest FFS no wonder you have guys shooting up the place every other day. Seriously cop the fuck on!

If he has served his punishment and has shown himself capable of doing the job, he deserves (another) chance. My argument was perhaps a lower profile bout may of benefitted both Gizma and the sport. Redemption is an excellent trait in both boxing and the human race, but for that to happen people need to be given the chance to redeem themselves...

Again I agree, but how many chances?

The man is 60 now, he has records against him since 1975 (over 35 years ago) and his latest crime is a year ago. Is there a chance of rehabilitation here? No. Also, has he served his time? No

We do not have enough information to make a sound judgement on whether he could redeem himself. But I would agree as he has an ankle bracelet it would seem he has not 'served his time'. But that said, the judge gave him permission to do this, and I would suggest the judge knows more about the case than you or me.
