He is a great ambassador for the sport everywhere but in the ring. And to be fair, this past weekend was the worst I have ever seen him.

He did jail time under sex trade laws. He grew up in Haiti living in a box.

Greenbeanz is right, I actually sat down yesterday to watch this just to see if it was as bad as people have said it was appalling. He would throw a single punch and just run in to hug. What on earth is that and again and again again. That is NOT a great tactician, it is a dirty, scared to be hit cheat.

It is ridiculous to bring up personal lives too when it is boxing people are talking about. So, you would happily choose to watch a fighter who breaks all the rules just beause he is relatively clean outside the ring? Surely that is irrelevant to what you are watching which is a fight with its obvious rules and conditions. People pay to be ringside, people typically pay to see these fights on TV, they deserve to see a performance within the rules. If you don't get that then you should have a refund.

Also what someone does in their private life is their concern and if it is innappropriate then society will deal with them. It has nothing to do with following the rules in the ring which most fighters appear to do. Nobody hugs and holds like Wladimir Klitschko and he does it enough so that he needs to be warned, docked, docked again and then disqualified.

As I said in another thread if people are happy watching that shite, then good for them. But you don't need to watch his fights and should certainly never pay to watch them.

Tyson is the most exceptional case in that he bit an ear, but he was banned and justly so. You cannot do that. However, what he did privately is none of our business. It was his own career to ruin.

He's a great role model in the ring IMO, because he teaches the most important thing about the sweet science: HIT AND NOT GET HIT. Anyone who goes in there slugging and taking 5 punches to give 1 should not be looked up to. It's a fool's game!

Listen to Riddick Bowe talk....then when Wlad is his age listen to him.....there's a benefit to not allowing yourself to get unnecessarily hit in the head. Hell look at Lamon Brewster, he has damn near lost an eye due to how he fought.

Did you ever listen to Bowe very early on his career, lets just say the deck was stacked. Wlad can always be a politician. They make great money for being asleep at the wheel too

To be fair to Wlad, until this recent fight I was only mildly bothered by the holding. I think it was at the beginning of the rematch against Sam Peter where he started the first few rounds clinching. After that he eased up. Against Haye he only clinched a little but it helped that Haye stayed away from Wlad as much as he could.

I think Wlads problem is he doesn't want to or can't in fight. So he just clinches. Povetkin was hoping to take the fight to the inside.
    Oops.
Looks like if any small fighters hope to fight Wlad, they better have a miracle because there will be no infighting if Wlad has any say in it.

    Hell,
even a prime Mike Tyson couldn't break through Wlads solid clinch defense. Lol

i dont think i agree with this, the lop sided contracts and the way opponents are treated

all the advantages prepared before the fight, the lengthy rematch clauses signed

he's criminal to the sport inside and outside the ring, ok hes never been a pedo, doesnt make him a role model
