I don't know how Paulie Malinaggi makes it on this list....sure he's not a big time puncher and he's not all that slick these days, but he puts on a decent show. I thought he did well vs Hatton and Cotto, granted those guys were never in a dull fight....but still Paulie Malinaggi? I mean Paulie Spadafora I get, but Malinaggi?
Hmm...there's not many boxers I find boring enough to list, I think more along the lines of "styles make fights". Now if it's which styles make for the most boring fights:
Bernard Hopkins - Always going the distance, slow pace, makes the fight one of attrition. But it's also boring because you know A) B-Hop WILL win and B ) He won't get hurt by anything you throw at him no matter who you are. Also he's been around for FOREVER so we've seen all his tricks.
Zab Judah - AT TIMES...sometimes Zab is amazing, letting his hands go, moving well, when he fights determined he's awesome to watch. HOWEVER when he's uninspired he can be tedious. He's only on here because I expect so much from him sometimes and every so often he fails to impress in such a disappointing manner.
Rocky Juarez - Hasn't fought in 2013, but just a plodding guy who can easily be kept at the end of a jab. Heavy hands, but very one dimensional. I was never a fan of what he was as a fighter.
Zahir Raheem & Derrick Gainer - Yeeeeesh
Erislandy Lara - The guy just has a very difficult style to work with. He's cagey but he's skilled enough to where he doesn't have to be.
And especially for those of you who think I'm awful....
Wladimir Klitschko - When Wlad fights like he did vs Povetkin nobody is happy. As a fan of his, I'm pleased he got the win, as a fan of boxing I wanted him to go for the KO. I expect him to win by KO all the time, he has the brains and he has the skills to accomplish that. What happened vs Povetkin I don't know but it wasn't great to watch and I freely admit that.
