I don't think hugging someone to death is tantamount to outboxing anyone. Are you really suggesting that the likes of the last fight are defendable tactics? If I were to see you and constantly hug you, what would you do? If I knew I could do that for 36 minutes and get away with it and take home millions of pounds, then I can see why he does it. But it isn't right and if millions are watching then they are not wrong in wanting to take a cold shower afterwards. It's dodgy and that of course is what bullshit is.

Oh I agree. He was more exciting a fighter when he got sparked out but the point is to not get sparked out. I agree with you that he has been coddled in multiple ways. Its almost like there is a rules shift whenever he fights in order to accommodate his style. True, but surely before the fight this needs to be made into a serious issue. Margarito and the hand wraps became serious and so people became vocal. Likewise, fighters need to make this vocal and challenge what is a very obvious spoiling tactic. It's almost as though part of the contract is to say nothing against Wlad. It's been happening for a long time now.

Wlad isn't just a bum, he does what he does. But it shouldn't be a case of buying off a referee to have things go in your favour. As I said, it's like a banker who knows he will never pay the penalty. Take the millions and just keep on hugging.

Wlad is the hype job for the media. He was the younger of the two, plus the Olympian, which meant that marketers and promoters could get more "value" out of his career. Vitali is much more exciting than Wlad.

Man, if Vitali had not spent the first part of his adult career as a Kick-boxer, he would have been a much more storied fighter than Wlad.
