We can envision Froch on the way to a stoppage. No doubt he probably was going to stop Groves. But Groves needed that 20 seconds.
    Bigger man George, bigger punch!

After the 9th round would have been carls favorite championship rounds..

Either way, shouldnt have been stopped.

Just think how different things would be without that stoppage.

We'd be sat here talking about a great fight and either congratulating Carl Froch on an epic come-from-behind win like a true champion or praising Groves for causing a huge upset and fighting the fight of his life.

What a difference a shit refereeing decision makes!

One of the best fights have seen on UK soil for years, to be honest Groves lost his discipline late on and decided to stand and trade with a man who we all know just gets stronger and stronger

Groves NEEDED Booth in those final few rounds badly and would have taken that on points 100% if he was in his corner i think.

Cracking Fight and i reckon Froch might have a fractured or broke Jaw too.

Rematch is a nailed on for me.

All the shit from Carl about dropping Groves in sparring.

Groves went in there and did exactly as he said he would do. He also splattered Carlin the first round ( are you sure it wasnt younwho was being dropped in sparring Carl because without the ref uour punches werent doing much).

The good thing is Carl now has nowhere to go other than a Groves rematch because no tv cimpany os going to shell out for that ball bag to lose to Ward again. All he has now is the opportunity to get bounced off the canvas by Groves again

I hope so. Yeah Frochs jaw looked a bit off to me afterwards, and he took an inhuman amount of punishment in the fight, hard to imagine he won't be feeling that for a while.

Has Froch's jaw injury been confirmed? That's going to throw a spanner in the works as a far as a rematch goes.

I want to see the rematch, but if Froch has any sense he'll retire. He looked old and slow in there tonight and was totally outclassed at times. Fair play to him for managing to get himself back into the fight, but he's been in some very hard fights and it caught up with him big time tonight.

Anyone who drops Froch as heavily as that in the first round and then boxes his head off for the rest of the fight deserves the benefit of the doubt when he gets hurt.

What a fight though, they've got to do it again.

I have to say that Froch looked old and slow in there tonight, but as usual his unbelievable toughness got him through it somehow. I really don't fancy Froch's chances in a rematch and there's every chance he could be knocked out. That fight has probably finished him.
Froch ahas lways looked slow shit stoppage Groves will win the rematch

I think the score cards are more alarming than the stoppage.

Yep Froch 1 point behind on 2 cards .... its Bullshit but its boxing and was written that as soon as Groves was in trouble it'd be over £$£$£$£ rematch

Absolutely disgusting. At no point in that fight was there any other winner than Groves.

He was dominating the fight, and easily 6 rounds ahead and had Froch in far more trouble in earlier rounds than that. Groves was defending and retaliating at every point until the ref stopped it. He was more hurt in the Anderson fight and now has to live with a defeat when it was anything but that.

Had the ref let it continue, Groves would have either backed off, taken a count or dodged further shots. At no point in that fight did he look like he was going to get beat

I don't think I've ever witnessed a more hideous decision than that. Travesty.

I'd like to see what rounds those judges were giving to Carl. Considering he lost the 1st 10-8 they must've thought he won a lot of rounds.
We should never see those judges or ref again. They are useless

Some people think Carl was going to turn it round anyway but remember Kenny Anderson, he had groves in worst trouble but George turned it round and stopped him. Carl was in worst condition in the 1st but wasn't stopped.

Glad the crowd sided with George. This was the changing of the guard
