I'm just not sold on him yet. His hands are down and slow on top of that. I think Stevenson is made to order for Hopkins or Ward. Please show me where I'm wrong.

Will Ward move up for a fight with Stevenson? Has he called out Stevenson?
He's done a lot this year but me personally, im not impressed..
And if u really want to nitpick, u can argue that he caught a mentally weak, overconfident dawson with a perfect punch.. the same would not happen in a rematch..
Who cares about cloud.he's such a one dimensional fighter if Ive ever seen one. Fights in one gear, has no imagination in his approach.. he sucks and even campillo beat him unofficially..
And bellew.. what stevenson did to him was exactly what all of us expected him to do so I dont see what the big deal is..
Only thing that impresses me about stevenson is how active he's been this year against decent oppositions.. thats what impresses me..
When I really break down their victories, I gotta say Kovalev had it tougher this year and he deserves the Fighter of the year award...
Of course Stevenson has been impressive. He wasn't even fuckin fighting at light heavyweight a year ago and now he's the champ. Every one if his victories this year have been by stoppage.
Bernard or Ward could beat him, but they are extraordinary p4p level fighters.
im impressed at what he has accomplished this past year since he isnt the most talented fighter, but if you are asking if im impressed at his skill level then i would say no.
i liked his last two performances , he was hardly hit in both fights
tony might not be an elite fighter but he is a well school boxer and could give most world class fighters problems, he couldnt hit stevenson apart from one good spell in the third i think it was
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend
I gotta disagree with this @erics44. Tony's biggest problem for me is timing and I think he would've got found out by pretty much any of the divisions elite. He gets worked up and angry too easily and allows this to affect his performance negatively during a fight. Just swining for the fences and thinking you're going to take a man's head of with every punch doesn't come across like a fighter who is well schooled. He reminds me of being out in Liverpool on a Saturday night if I'm honest.
As for Stevenson, I've been impressed with what he's accomplished this year but I'm not convinced he is a top class fighter and I'm convinced he would get starched by Kovalev so if I was GYM, I would cash in with a Pascal fight before going anywhere near Kovalev.
I would have to agree. He has done a lot in the ring. Maybe I'm too hard on him. Some people think he's the next Duran. Let me say I'm not there yet. He still has to show me more. It looks like to me that a good counter puncher with some pop could do some damage to him. Marciano didn't have a lot of talent either but would fight you to the death. I'm more of a wait and see guy.
How can you not be impressed, he is active and beating good quality fighters very quickly.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
You have to be impressed with his 2013 performances, he avenged his lone loss, and stopped 3 other ranked opponents. That level of activity & opposition has to be admired.
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
He's a puncher. But punchers get exposed over time. He already had a ko loss from someone who timed him to the core. I think he is exciting to watch for the moment, but at the end of the day put him in with someone that can box he will be exposed again. In fact, someone that can box and bang...
He's a good show while he has the spotlight.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

Stevenson has done all that has been asked of him at LHW , however lets not get to carried away , he is very beatable , bellew was British standard class no better , however Stevenson is exciting and I like watching his fights.
I am impressed with Stevenson but he falls into the Deontay zone for me. I like to see him fight, his wins are impressive but he seems to be lacking in certain areas. Stevenson has proved himself a bit more than Deontay. Bottom line is I prefer to see both of them win.
