Dirrell could have tried doing more but he would have tired and wouldnt have had the same bursts of success. Bika is better as you know even if you hurt him hes still capable of recuperating fast and smashing you up. Dirrell laid on the ropes because Bika took him there and kept him there. Dirll likes to think of himself as a puncher. He does have power but if he really felt he could have stepped up and stopped Bika he would have tried. Maybe he did try and we didnt notice because Bika made Dirrell ineffective.
Sir, maybe I am wrong about Anthony, maybe he did try more than I noticed. Let me think.
Hell no, nah, you're joking, bullshit, very funny, are you serious, were we watching the same fight, you are out of you mind and FUCK NO I'm not wrong!
Ross, this fight was for the WBC super middleweight championship! A first step toward real fame and fortune, the pot at the end of the rainbow that makes all the sparring, time in the gym, being yelled at by a trainer, watching your friends going out, no cake and ice cream, no pasta, no pizza, no chasing the ladies worth it! WAS, IS or COULD there ever be a better time to leave every ounce of what you have in the ring? The answer is no.
One more question. What made Anthony think he could ever, ever, ever predict what judges are going to do? Apparently he doesn't watch the fights. Apparently his trainer has never talked to him about judging or judges. Apparently he has never sat around the gym, shooting the breeze about great fights, great fighters, great KOs, bad decisions and bad judges.
You thought Dirrell won a close fight, and until the last round I thought it was a close fight, plenty of fans thought Bika won a close fight. All I'm saying is that Dirrell could have and should have done more, plus his behavior in the last round was the last straw.
Dirrell has a better skill set, but Bika is mentally stronger and that won him the fight.
