Oh man, but seriously, when Johnson went 12 with Vitali, it was said it was because he had good defense. Well.. I don't know how true that is. Or perhaps he does have good defense, but that's it. His offense is very very poor. Mostly he just jabs. He needs to mix it up more. And that rather odd stance he has isn't helping I think. Where is @El Kabong? He does pretty good analysis of heavyweight boxers faults.

KJ is too bulky to be a top-flight fighter. You can tell he doesn't do the road work, and lifts more weights than it helps.
My message to him: Lose about 15 pounds, and lose some of the muscle, incorporate an extra mile or two in his road-work regimen, and spend and extra hour on the bag and mitts.
It's clear he can't throw punches effectively. And these are the reasons why!
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

He just stinks, plain and simple. He's durable and knows how to not get knocked out, that's all he has going for him on the world stage.
I had him beating Hammer 96-94 in a true shitfest of a contest. Obviously the hometown guy got the UD though.

Kevin Johnson had tremendous potential. Athletic, solid jab, great reach, hard to catch clean, great upper body movement.... but he's lazy, he's got little power, he has no right hand. He's a frustratingly incomplete fighter. If he used his right AT ALL he'd be better than most heavyweights. He has the James Toney shoulder roll down to perfection but NEVER counters...that's his biggest flaw
....but surely we can all agree that Kevin Johnson would wipe the floor with former greats like Foreman, Marciano & Ali!
