All im saying is this is the first time this has happened to froch when he is under the spotlight and everyone is asking him the questions.
Im only having a friendly dig at JC because at least froch is prepared to fight these young guns coming up where JC did not.
The fight was close and im backing groves all the way to bring an upset in the divison, but even though froch was getting his arse beat he was coming back and is always at his best in the championship rounds!
Froch has fought everyone and ducked no one.
As the champion he gave groves a chance and underestimated him and paid for it in the early rounds.
Groves does deserve another shot but at least old froch didnt retire or have a few easy fights as he approaches 40..theres talks of GGG and a ward rematch.
He is still fighting the best at this twilight stage.
Give the man a break.
The thing is Froch is a hypocrite, he took the Groves fight thinking it was easy money, but it turned
out to be far from easy. At the time Froch was shooting his mouth off at Calzaghe, Joe told him
I would fight you but you NO it's about the money.
Joe at the time had bigger fish to fry,! and at that time Carl could no draw fly's at that point in his carer, Groves was higher profile he had beat DeGale, and there was a big payday for Carl he was
thinking George would be a walk over.
Many times I have repeated myself boxing first and utmost is a business, a sport second weather
we like it or not, promoters and boxer must make money you have in general a short carer,
Froch is NO different the sport is driven by money, don't believe this bullshit I will fight anyone
crap yep if the money is right.
Nobody fights for nothing in pro boxing it's a fact, we may not like the truth in the words of
Don King you don't get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate.![]()
I never had a lot of respect for Froch in the first place, but I have absolutely zero respect for him now. He's scared to fight Groves again and there's no getting away from that. The excuses he's making are pathetic and his memory of what happened during the fight seems a little "skewed" to say the least. I can only put this down to the sheer number of largely unanswered punches Groves hit him with while beating the shit out of him from the very first round.
Why does he think anyone wants to see him fight Ward again? I'd rather watch paint dry than see another dull and one-sided fight between those two. The only fight that makes sense is a rematch against Groves.
He talks about his legacy, but let's be realistic here. Carl Froch is an incredibly limited and technically very poor boxer who has got to where he is because of his amazing stamina and granite chin. Groves was beating him up and making him look like a clown and it's not the first time he's got lucky or been completely outclassed. All this talk of Calzaghe is absolute bollocks. Calzaghe would have humiliated him in the same way Ward and Groves did, only Carl wouldn't have had the luxury of a ridiculously early stoppage to bail him out in that fight.
Stop making excuses Carl and try living up to your reputation as a fighter who will fight anyone, anywhere. Right now you're looking like you're scared of a guy who you said wasn't in your league.
