Who would have won? Tony Danza vs. Mickey Rourke.
Who would have won? Tony Danza vs. Mickey Rourke.
Tony Danza was 9-3 with 9 KO's as a middleweight. He fought some legit opponents and had real KO power.
Rourke had a series of exhibitions against bums and paid off opponents.
Danza would KO him in the 1st or whenever he wanted to.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Jack Palance was a respectful heavyweight until war broke out. Cobb is one hell of an actor lol.
Victor McLaglen. Fights John Wayne in The Quiet Man.
Mickey Rourke was an amateur boxer as a teenager.
I liked watching his pro bouts. They were exciting. He was comin' on.
Broner takes them bothOk..too easy
I like Danza over Rourke
Of course there was always Max Baer. I remember seeing Jorge Paez do a couple of cheesy parts in Sunday morning Univision movies. Couldn't understand a word, but he was still a clown.
Eric Braeden, Victor Newman on The Young and The Restless, boxed.
I think Liam Neeson boxed as an amateur.
Rouke must be heavyweight now. I remember he trained with Roach and James Toney.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I assume you're looking for people known for acting who happened to box? Because if you are counting guys that used their sports celebrity to get acting gigs the list is extensive. Such as Carnera, Robinson, Morrison, Tyson, Tarver etcetera.
I was looking at boxers that became actors. But I wouldn't F around with Jack Palance (when he was alive anyway. Probably could take him now though) nor Danny Trejo.
Phew!
I was relieved to come in here after 10 posts and find no mention of Stallone.
I was sure somebody would go that route.
Denis Waterman's brother boxed didn't he? So I am assuming he did at some level.
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
Ray Winston was a amateur boxer by all accounts not bad, think one of his gym mates was
John H Stracy if I'm correct.
