Fonfara has put together a nice run of wins, so no surprise to see him moved into a title-shot.
I think HBO are happy to keep building, the fight everyone wants to see, Adonis vs Sergey til the last quarter of 2014.

Totally agree and beyond the banter and sound bites neither persons camp wants them to fight at this time. Could be a career ending fight for one or both. Agree with the take on Fonfara. He was actually in talks with both guys and has quietly clawed himself up into the top 5 almost across the board. Bit of a spoiler type guy. Under the radar coming out of nowhere. Some of the boys from 168 may be getting to the point when making weight is just a little to tough so there could be some surprises. Personally I think Kovalev is going to be ducked by everyone.
fonfara isnt really that good IMO. although i see him having a better chance against stevenson. he is too easy to hit to do well against kovalev.
they really need to make the kovalev/stevenson fight now while its still big. stevenson is going to lose before the fight happens and then it wont matter. it will be the whole juanma/gamboa situation all over again. hopefully they have learned to make the fight now and not wait on it.
Fonfara stands a better chance against Stevenson than he does with Kovalev and hope HBO has a twin bill. After the way Campillo bounced gloves off him for awhile and had him looking ordinary it will be interesting to see if Adonis goes for the power or the boxing approach with Fonfara. Still not sold he can complete package both. Kovalev punches holes through both of them frankly and I think that is the one HBO is banking on.
