Who does Broner think he is? Everybody is telling him to go down a weight and he's not having it. Is it because he's a "mini JCC Jr. ?" by that I mean that he says he's comfortable at this weight just so he doesn't have to do a bit of hard work to fight at the next weight down. If he was honest with himself, he's probably just a lazy, arrogant prick!

The sad fact is.... whenever someone is annointed as "The Next (fill in the blank)"..... it takes more than an embarrassing beatdown to take him off that "money-maker" perch. Such is the sport of boxing. The press becomes infatuated with the fighter.... helps build the deserved or undeserved hype (doesn't matter, really)..... and eventually takes said fighter to PPV status.

In an ideal world, it should be Maidana deciding whether or not he gives Broner a rematch. But as you've seen by the responses here, not even boxing fans agree with that.

Broner had an immediate rematch clause and executed it. Its a good sign and a good move. Its refreshing unlike my boy Bute who had one for Froch in Quebec and bailed on it. Damn man now Broner is getting shit on for doing the right thing.

I think Broner is delusional by insisting on an immediate rematch and GBP/Haymon have said to themselves fuck it, he's not as good as we thought he was so let's let the fucker sink or swim.

If Broner wins a controversial decision (which is highly likely) then a trilogy is pretty much guaranteed. But Maidanan may just beat the shit out of him again and what then? Maybe Broner says it's just another blip and he continues thinking he's the next Floyd. Which would give us the intriguing possibility that the rest of his career may resemble King Arthur's confrontation with The Black Knight.

Yup agreed 100%. It takes real balls to get right back in there with a guy who beat your ass. Because as we've seen (Price/Thompson) it's not always the right move.

But I think it's a good move for Broner. Adrien can win this fight if he fights smart IMO. And because people hate Broner so much, no matter who he fights NOBODY will let him forget the beating Maidana gave him unless he goes back and avenges the loss.

Even if he wins, nobody is going to let him forget that first fight. That's the way it's going to be for the rest of his career.
Broner has a lot riding on this rematch, whatever is driving him, be it hubris or whatnot he has to win. Nobody in their right mind can say the man does not have a set of balls.

If he could just control that disrespectful, trash talking mouth of his....no way, no how, no chance. Lol

A good, dominant win will erase that. At the end of the day, people have short memories and love to get behind winners. If he beats Maidana's ass, especially if he stops him, he can make people forget the first fight.

Can't agree, Broner's disrespect and trash talking really pissed the fans off.
In 15 or 20 years, maybe. I still have a strong dislike for Ali after 50 years. Piss on Ali forever.

What upset you about ali and makes you want to urinate over him forever?

Man I don't even know if Broner will win the rematch I don't think he will. Broner gets points for not quitting like Ortiz did and then he asked for Maidana only!!! Warriors keep fight only a bitch would take the easy way out!!!! May the best man win in the rematch!!!

Nah, a nutter will jump in there and fold under heat.

Broner took the punches like a man and kept on fighting. Dude has heart.

Broner did show that he has a chin and heart. He took some monster shots from Maidana, was wobbled a few times and got up from two knockdowns and went the distance. If he goes on the offensive using his speed and doesn't stand in front of Maidana I think he can pull off a win by decision.

Don't get me wrong I'm rooting for Maidana all the way, but this is an opportunity for Broner to wake the **** up and focus. Personally I strongly dislike his attitude towards the sport and other boxers, but I wouldn't count him out. Never under estimate your opponent is my motto.

    Go Maidana!

After watching some of Broner's antics in and out of the ring, there is no doubt he plays the delusional nut job, almost too well.
That doesn't change the fact that he is taking a huge chance. If he does not win the second fight he will be finished at this weight for a while. That will cramp Broner's style, seeing as how he hates limits.
The man has a huge set!
