As @Rantcatrat points out the actual challenges for Floyd are getting a little thin. There are not really any at 147 and I dont really see any at 154 either. I have to disagree with him on his feelings about Lara. I mean I suppose its possible but the fight would make Trout/Lara look exciting. Still, the fact that he's a southpaw does add some intrigue and the fact that he's a defense first fighter.

I also agree with @zhubin that Khan has not shown much of a brain pan but the thing is that has been against the brawler/puncher/swarmer type. Whens the last time Khan fought a pure boxer?
In fairness thats kind of what he is. It would honestly not surprise me to see Khan look better then he has ever looked against Floyd and that sounds crazy but if you really think about it he does present different issues for Floyd.

Speed will be an interesting factor here. Not sure how anyone can dispute that. The problems however slight Floyd had against Corley and Judah had just as much to do with hand speed as it did with being southpaws.Another thing to honestly consider is the jab. You ask any trainer or any x fighter what it takes to beat Floyd and the first thing out of their mouth is a good or great jab. Khans got a pretty good one. And lastly, most of Khans problems from what I've seen have been when he is forced into a slug fest and mugging contest. He wont be in one of those if he lands this fight.
@IamInuit - You're a classy poster. I appreciate your insight here and I agree Lara and Mayweather fights are not known for their excitement. I'll give you that 100%. However, Lara is fast and he is a southpaw. Also, he moves around. When was the last time Floyd fought someone that as part of their regular style move around laterally? Lara does that in spades.

The problem I have with Khan is that for all his physical gifts, he can be timed, and if guys like Diaz and Garcia can time him in a few rounds, it'll take Mayweather half the amount of time to hurt him when Khan lunges in. Moreover, Khan's achilles heel is his chin. The combination of being timed and not have a strong chin make him a sitting duck for Mayweather.

Just consider this, Khan bowed out of a fight with Alexander because he perceived the fight too risky to take when a fight with Mayweather was on the table. It was a title fight too.

In my opinion, this all adds up to Khan having no chance.

I'm not suggesting Lara beats Mayweather. Far from it. Like I said, I question Lara's confidence in that fight. On the other hand, I think he brings more stylistic challenges than Khan.
That's a moot point. Any fighter in the world would have pulled out with the Floyd fight on the table. They would have been forced to by their advisers. You don't risk blowing a $10million fight for $1million. Remember Floyd, Khan, Alexander are all in cohorts with Golden Boy.

I've read on a few articles than Khan will get £4 million.
