I don't think Kirkland would like that. He's an aggressive beast, but soooo easy to hit and he'd be fighting a damn former light heavyweight puncher....BAD NEWS.
Don't think much of Stevens at all Brinkley and Primera showed us who he is how can a Kirkland fight not be fun
Reachin pretty far back for those losses imo especially Marcos primera.

Margarito already showed us who Sergio Martinez is by that reasoning.
May be going back but who has he beat Ayala

The Brinkley fight was really bad for Stevens, but that was at 168, well above where Kirkland will ever fight. I'll bet Anne Wolfe could take James in that division
I'm not saying Kirkland wins just seems like a very fun fight

He is lacking for quality wins.

He has a lot of heart and brutal power = exciting.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Big left hook. Is he a middleweight version of Rico Ramos? Depends on landing that left hook and if it doesnt come he is very vulnerable?

Sounds about right.. He's a one trick pony, like a borderline B- level fighter.

My favorite Stevens moment was when he got owned by my boy Allan Green back in the days. His chinchecker homey almost got murdered in the ring after talking mad shit about Green's mom etc etc so stevens started acting like a little wild midget haha

Allan Green was bad to the bone that night.. He made a bunch of wannabe goons look stupid as hell.

During the postfight interview, it's as if he didnt even give a fuck about Codrington who was being layed on a stretcher.. He just gave all this shoutouts, even to the used car dealer who sponsored him lol..

He took some heat at first but what people didnt realize was how much shit the chincheckers was talking leading up to the fight. They were disrespecting Green's mother and all kinds of shit..

When you talk about somebody's mom, they are trying to get into some real shit.. Green's intent was to kill Codrington in the ring..

Nah I think he means because Curtis Stevens and Codrington were kind of packaging themselves together as the "chink checkers" in those days. They were ringside for each other most fights etc I believe.
