A few points to take notice of:
-a cinco De mayo fight where neither khan or maidana is Mexican. So packing the undercard with as many Mexicans or Mexican Americans as possible for marketing purposes makes sense.

-the obvious feeling That khan is not worthy means, as someone else inter out, they're going to have to put a shine on him before people would buy him as a threat. In steps a rebounding broner who also Is need of hype.

- the consensus says they want to see maidana in a rematch with broner as who can get enough of broner being humiliated. problem is maidana repeating his beating of broner twice in a row turns the lights out on broners career and cuts GBP money short once Floyd hangs them up.

-both fights get more competitive as maidana is billed as a tough fighter who's power plays the equilizer. And khan/broner gets billed as a crossroads fight. Advancing the mayweather train closer to end of the line. If khan beats broner, he has set some hype up for a mayweather fight and the most obnoxious press tour in history and more of an option/ bargaining power for mayweather against a pacquiao negotiation. If broner wins he's lined up for a pass the torch fight against mayweather.

- maidana saying he wouldn't be ready for the broner rematch but would push/force himself for mayweather makes it an easier fight Than it might have normally been. Irons still hot on maidanas hype and his body/mind is not rested.

Just something to chew on...
