This is a fun fight. No doubt about it. However, I would have preferred to see GGG face Martinez if Martinez beats Cotto. If it were up to me, beat Geale/Lee and face Martinez at the end of the year and then if he wins, move up for Junior or Ward.

If GGG beat Sergio he would stay and unify the titles and defend them a couple of times first before moving up would be more realistic.

Its a real shame. I dont like when fighters move up and down in weight. I prefer them to move up for good. That being said its a shame that the big fights arent being made at middleweight. Unless you are part of the negotiating team we dont know why these fights are not being made. but to most it appears as if GGG is being avoided (Martinez fighting Cotto), Sturm just having no interest in fighting him, Geale wanting his "fans" to be able to watch him. But it seems GGG is being forced to move up in weight to get a decent payday.

Sturm has always avoided him which I hate. I think Segio will fight him after Cotto, even he has some pride.

Sir, you have it figured right. Moving up is best done slowly and carefully, just look at Broner's quick climb to disaster.

what is it with these mexican rising stars (chavez and canelo) who love fighting fighters way smaller than them?
