This fight tells us, again, how good Floyd really is.
Well kind of I guess. Floyd does not stand there like a fence post either. What it tells us about Alvarez is that he has issues with fighters who dont just stand in the pocket and trade and has no issues with gate keepers that do. We saw it first with Trout. A safety first fighter who dislikes being punched in the face. A fighter whose style works behind the shoulder. Then came Floyd. And now Angulo who gave him nothing but time to plant his feet and get his shots off sending his fans into a frenzy. I dont see them going for Lara because he's right in between Floyd and Trout style wise. I dont see his handlers doing a Lara fight even if it could be made.

I'm not going to try to predict what Floyd might or might not do. Lol

All I'm saying is that Floyd had an easy time with Canelo, who had no serious problems with Angulo, who had Lara setting on his fanny a couple of times and that styles have a lot to do with wins.

Angulo was so slow and never got going it was frustrating to watch. His punches had nothing in them at all, I don't know why he had no speed or snap in his punches? Canelo looked good though, he was offensive from the start and boxed really well on the back foot as well. solid performance from him but Angulo was a punching bag, he got hit with everything.

1st impression, suprised Alvarez was hit as much as he was by all the descriptions. He really looks ordinary frankly and like 160+ is a must! Angulo did what Angulo always does, slow start and looping shots and takes tons of leather.

I think Canelo took chances because the punches were having no affect on him. Angula's punches must be over rated and Canelo was just too big and strong for him.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
