Everything I've read says there is no way to reform a sociopath. You just try to avoid their triggers. The world won't make that effort. He will hurt someone else badly.

    Nah, the man is crazy.

At his best in the late 90s, there was a scheduled fight where for a couple of weeks leading up to the fight, his cornermen didn't even know where he was or if he was even training.

Before that, HBO covered the kidnapping story, Lampley and Merchant talking about Ike kidnapping his former girlfriend's kid where he drove himself and the kid into a cement pillar. The kid suffered some permanent injuries, seizures. Ike went to jail for a short while, charged with kidnapping and attempted murder, the courts decided he was trying to commit suicide and let him off with 4 months, but he had to pay a half million in the lawsuit.

At the time between the 1997 Tua fight where he made his name and the 1999 Byrd fight, many prominent people in boxing publicly commented on this guy's bizarre behavior, and that he was not playing with a full deck. I think it was Kellerman stated that you only had to talk to Ike for about 5 minutes to know this guy was unstable.

Money talks though, and this guy was a fantastic talent, and there was definitely money to be made off him by all the sharks in Boxing.
