Bowe isnt some wounded war veteran or part time bootlegger that Louis is used to fighting on a monthly basis.

Louis is seriously undersized, slow, has a lack of head movement, no mobility ,and he would be a sitting duck for Big daddy.

Bowe would abuse him plain and simple..

Its not the 30s no more.

Bowe would kill him with the jab, and I don't think Louis had the power to get Bowe out of there, or the chin to withstand Bowe's onslaught.

Bowe's chin would be a problem for Louis, Holy's best sharp shots are atleast as powerful as Louis', and Holy couldnt put him away. Bowe's chin would take all Louis' shots, but Joe would out-stamina the often low-stamina Bowe, outhustle him, Joe would fight him like Dempsey fought Willard. Hell, Joe would fight him like he fought Primo carnera.

It makes me laugh when people who has only seen black and white films starts romanticizing and overrating the shit outa the likes of Gene Tunney lol, dempsey, and jack johnson and them primitive fighters.

Those guys would be lucky to even beat a prime Monte Barrett.. jack johnson doesnt strike me as a good boxer and I dont see him making it out of the firs round against Deonte wilder..

    Old schooo fighters are overrated....

Only old school fighters truly admire are the ones from the 60s and up like Ali, Patterson, and Larry Holmes..

Riddick Bowe on his A game was an unstoppable force... the only person that beats Riddick on his A game is an Ali on his A game....

I feel as if Bowe and Lewis had fought, the same Bowe that beat the shit out of Holyfield in the first match, Lewis would get sparked out cold.

Joe Louis would get sparked out cold. Holmes would be beaten over 12 rounds. Tyson would lose a split or UD. Wlad would get sparked the eff out. Vitali would quit.

But this, of course, was when Bowe was on his A game... which was only about 2 or 3 times out of his entire fight career.
    Bigger man George, bigger punch!

Tyson has the balls to take a beating but he doesnt have the heart to fight under pressure.. Bowe would open up a can of whoop ass and make him quit..

Tyson would get intimidated by bowe..

On paper Bowe too big, too well rounded and strong..simple as. Bowe was a great inside churner if you were in there, that uppercut was on point. But the easy dismissal of "grainy B&W fighters" is so damn self righteous. Give it 40 yrs and the dismisal will recycle itself and Wlad will be a robotic glass chin who padded his record late by fans not even sucking wind now and may have only sat through a handfull of his fights without fast forwarding. Its heavyweights ffs...anything can and has happened.

When everything is quantified by if a guy...a champion..would even bring his A-game, it makes its own window for ruling nothing out and Bowe if we're honest could be a bloated half distracted slug who wasn't easy to miss and could lose his cool and bend rules. Bowe fucked himself and had all the tools to indead go down as 'all time' but he was equally interested with fridges in his bedroom and doing impersonations of Ali.

    THE PERFECT FIGHTING MACHINE

There never has been a more complete fighter than Joe Louis. He more than any other heavyweight most closely resembles the perfect fighter. Imagine the task of building a perfect heavyweight. First he would have to have two-fisted punching power equal to that of Jack Dempsey or Mike Tyson. His hand speed would have to be among the best including Ali, Patterson and Tyson. The left jab an offensive weapon like that of Sonny Liston's. The left hook as powerful as Joe Frazier's. His right cross as crushing as Lennox Lewis. His combination punching comparable to pound for pound great Ray Robinson. His counter-punching ability on par with Jack Johnson. He would have the inside fighting ability of Riddick Bowe. He would also have the analytical ability of Gene Tunney in spotting the weakness of an opponent's style. Joe Louis had all of these attributes in one compact explosive package of heavyweight TNT.

As a boxer Louis had everything. He is without doubt the greatest combination puncher to ever lace on the gloves. No one could put their punches together as beautifully as did Louis. He threw every punch in the book with text book perfection, the jab, the hook, the cross, and the uppercut. He placed his punches with waste-less accuracy to vital points; to the heart, across the liver, behind the ear, under the floating rib, to the mental foramen nerve (the chin). His punches were short, often traveling only inches, yet they landed with jolting power
Bowe was mentally inept. He'd fold.

Unfortunately for Bowe, he was born AFTER Joe Louis' era. So there went his quest to be great. I guess he'll just have to settle for being mostly remembered as a fat, lazy, underachiever, with more talent than the will to use it. THAT.... and his epic showdowns with Andrew Golota who... if he would've had more than a pea-sized brain.... he would've finished his destruction of Bowe without getting DQ'ed like an idiot. TWICE!

Although Louis was big for the times, he would still look like a super middle weight next to Bowe.

I think Bowe stops him in devastating fashion.

Size appears to be folks' primary concern, but Bowe's sole loss (which also happened in Bowe's prime) was to Holyfield who was basically the same size as Joe Louis. Same height, same weight. Except Joe is one of the hardest punchers in Boxing history, and Holyfield never had a Heavyweight punch. Holy was a good combination puncher, Louis was a better combination puncher...and with harder punches.
Joe was fundamentally sound, one of the best schooled, textbook fighters there's ever been, whereas Holyfield fought off-balance a helluva lot.

Bowe was damn good for a short time, and had wonderful physical attributes, and was a fantastic inside fighter considering he was so tall with those long arms. He was also psychologically unsound and lacked discipline.
6'5", 235 lbs was about his best weight, 246 or more was too heavy for him.

Joe Louis decimated big men like:
    6' 4", 254 lb Abe Simon
    6' 5½", 260 lb Primo Carnera
    6' 4 ½" 220 lb Jorge Brescia
    6' 6½", 250 lb Buddy Baer

Smaller, faster, speedier guys gave Louis more trouble to catch up with them as they skedaddled around the ring away from him. I think a prime Joe Louis would knock out a prime Riddick Bowe, but it'd be a great fight, probably go 11 rds maybe.

"Holyfield was basically the same size as Joe Louis" - No bradlee, Holyfield was a 215lb steroid pumped super athlete with no bodyfat. Louis was a skinny/fat 205lb actual CW sized fighter.

"Joe is one of the hardest punchers in history and Holyfield never had a HW punch" - true Holy never had a HW punch. But Joe would not have been able to punch anywhere near as hard as Holyfield and probably would not rate in the top 100 HW boxers of all time in power!

Holy was a better combination puncher than Louis and hit harder, and faster, and pretty much did everything to the letter better than Louis.

Joe Louis had great technique against the criteria of his opposition, he was ahead of his time. Holyfield's was much better. As are many, many boxers since Louis. Obviously!

Your description of Bowe was accurate.

Joe Louis decimated the listed big men because they were absolute rubbish! Nothing more.

Smaller men giving Louis more trouble was a sign that the big men had no skills back then, Bowe was obviously not the same mould as that.

Thinking Louis would KO a guy the size and skill of Bowe the likes he never seen when he couldn't even KO all of his own piss weak opponents and considering Bowe was never knocked out entire career against better and much more powerful opponents is beyond laughable.

You should stop thinking and just listen.

And you have just exposed yourself as a complete fool!
"Enough with the games mate! Your messing with the Grand Master!"

Bowe would knock Louis the fuck out not even close i mean Holyfeild at his best is better then Louis anytime of his career. What are Louis best wins really Max, Joe, and Con and that's about it. One of those guys was not even a Heavyweight and he was whooping Louis ass. Lucky he had Bum of the month club which makes this era look like the golden age fucking guy fought a bartender and got floored doing so. I mean come on guys not even fair fight Louis is not a heavyweight by today standards. I think he do great at cw so would a lot of the other old timers but got to be real sometimes not even close.
