Ji hoon Kim- Ji is a family friend so I got to know this dude in the mid 2000s and became a part of his team.. Ji is one of the downest guys I know on the streets .. he used to be the top streetfighter in high school but deep inside, I feared that he would take a lot of beating in the pros.. he just didnt have the proper foundation as a boxer and his trainer sucked. U know what though, for a time being, he was a straight up wrecking machine and dude made me proud.. if I were to get into a rumble on the streets against any number of foes, I just need Ji by my side and we would fuck up any group.. no doubt about that.

Marvin Quintero- to those of u who dont know, Quintero is a LW from Tijuana and one of the most, offensively skilled fighters out there.. when he was coming up as a prospect, he showed glimpse of a young marco antonio barrera and I thought he woukd go places.. but just like some fighters, bad luck never seems to escape him... sort of like Eric Hunter... he has all the physical tools and due is exciting as fuck but for some odd reason, he loses to oppoe0nents he shouldnt be losing to... or he might lead on the cards then all of a sudden, he suffers a freak accident.. he has very bad luck but just take a look at his fights from few years ago and youll see what he's about..

JI hoon and quintero are still young though and they still have a chance...

Kendall Holt- kendall is a former champion whose been there and done that so he probably doesnt belong in this discussion but with his talents, he could have accomplished a lot more.. ive always liked holt..

I'll add Randall Bailey to this list. Yes, he became 2 time world champ, but he was supposed to be the next Tommy Hearns at one point early in his career.

Aaron Williams was a cruiserweight prospect from Cleveland who I thought ridiculously high of. He had everything and for a big guy he was such a fluid boxer with not a lot of bad habits. He got buzzed by a hard hitting Colombian on ESPN and never recovered. He fought in an eliminator against Yoan Pablo and I thought he earned a draw but got 3 ridiculous scorecards. Then he disappeared. I don't know, rarely am I that wrong about someone. I mean dead wrong, but that is why you can't judge a guy's prospects on what he does in the ring. There are too many other factors. I still think he had the skills to even bulk up and be a very good heavyweight.

Yeh bud that's the one. Another in deceptive stats as they introduced him as 16-6?! Close one with Espino sending his mouth piece flying a couple time and bloodying his nose in late rally but not enough.

First interest in following boxing was watching Sean O'Sullivan and Willie Dewitt in the 84 Olympics. I watched with my grandfather and had my first beer. I was 13 and just joined boxing a year before. Haven't heard those names in years.

Good guys who had to work from the bottom up. Zavala maxed out what he had. He had a bad case of frozen feet late and believed in free trade but they didn't come any tougher and committed. It looked like Salud opened him up with a box cutter! He's another lost too early in life with tragic accident. Zamudio was a nice little switch hitter. Scores didn't do justice to what he did when on inside of Arbachakov.

Frankie Randall. He made it with the asterisk of 'upset' but he should have been so much more. Tremendous fluid boxer puncher with a chip on the shoulder
