As most will agree Chavez does seem to have a good chin, although we are yet to see him hit by a genuine super middle but if this fight is made that wont make much difference anyway.
In Golovkins last fight he did look a bit stumped when his opponent came forward throwing. Chavez will be much stronger and much more aggressive.
Will be a good fight and I can see Chavez hurting Golovkin.
The only thing interesting about this fight is how GGG translates into super middleweight.
While both fighters have resumes that are a bit thin (yes Chavez fought Sergio....but he got his ass handed to him)...i will pick the more skilled and disciplined fighter. GGG has a great amateur career, is much more polished skill wise, and is not one to be prone to laziness. Chavez wants to drop a ton of weight only to pick on the smaller guy come fight night. Jnr's skill set is average at best and his discipline is a huge question mark. He looked good against a well past it B level fighter his last time out...so we are being lead to believe he has turned a new leafIf he was fighting an average fighter...i would say his best attributes (chin, size) might be enough. But even though GGG has a lot to prove...he is by no means an average fighter. PLUS...people assume that only Chavez's chin will be targeted. What GGG does best is go to the body...and he will have no problem finding Jnr's rib cage consistently. Chavez jnr. can only carry his dad's name so far. I see GGG making a statement and winning big.
