    "SLUGFEST!"

Hahaha I would like to see that! Somehow I don't think the Ukranian wrestler um... boxer, will be able to bring himself to deliver that.

What he meant to say was...

"Because I've selected such a low class opponent for my next defence, I should be able to keep him at arms length and jab him to death for several rounds until I can deliver a knockout".

That's not a slugfest, sorry Wlad.

Wladimir all the way in this one.

Leapai has a very slim chance of landing a KO shot, but other than that, it'll be a 1-sided slow beatdown rd-by-rd until Leapai's all busted-up, virtually helpless, no more threat at about rd 9 or 10 at which point Wladimir will finally throw the right hand or big left hook to put him out of his misery. It should be a very typical, non-entertaining Wladimir match.

Someone needs to remind him that free slugging on his heavybag in the gym doesn't count.

We all know that isn't going to happen. It'll be a slow calculated beatdown

The pre-Steward Wladimir would have this guy outta there in 2 rounds tops. On the other hand, a pre-Steward Wladimir wouldn't have reigned this long as champ...so it is what it is. We'll get a jab fest for 4-5 rounds then he'll drop the steelhammer. Similar to the Mormeck fight, I reckon.

How much he holds, to what degree this fight resembles a methodical beatdown or a judo match, is actually determined by Leapai on the night.

If Leapai has enough skills the manuever his way into Wlad close then he'll be hugged.

If Leapai is not then he gets smashed outside.

I don't know much about Leapai honestly but I'm willing to bet there's a reason I hadn't heard of him and that's because he's not really that good.

The only thing that might save him from KO is if he happens to have iron chin.

A slugfest, eh Wlad? How about 100,000 dollars per clinch instigated by your good self going straight to charity? That way either the poor kids benefit or you actually give the fans an interesting fight for once?
