Painkilling injections are used in lots of other sports but are generally damaging over the long term because your still working with an injury which makes it worse. Floyd's been struggling with his hand since the Guerrero fight and I wonder if its the first sign of years in the sport having an effect on his body.

There is a difference between using a localised drug designed to alleviate an injury as is commonly practiced in most other sports too, and using a generalised drug that is designed to enhance metabolic and CNS functions and boost overall athletic and performance beyond what can be achieved naturally as is illegal in most other sports too.
I realise it is a debatable thing where the line is drawn or whether there is a difference in principle at all but I think common sense prevails that one is acceptable and the other is not.
