Yeah but MP Promotions is just a company title, not a true promotional company. It takes a lot of capital, know-how and man-power to pull off a show on the scale of a Mayweather or Pacquaio PPV extravaganza. If it was easy, every fighter with a name would be doing it.

1st)MP Productions does cards, small cards so it's not paper it's just small time.

2)I'm not saying he should do the actual promotion. When he signs to fight a GBP fighter they can take the lead, when he signs to fight a TR fighter they can do the promotion. Both sides want the event to be a success so they will gladly promote it. You just don't pay them. Like Floyd does with GBP. GBP gets to put on huge cards that promote their company and Floyd fights under his small scale promotion name so he doesn't have to pay. Manny could get that same free promotion because it's worth it for the big promoters for relevance.

So if GBP and TR were to potentially spend millions to promote a MPP event they would be doing so without earning revenue from any source whatsoever that MPP couldn't otherwise get their hands on? Doesn't seem to add up mate .

They collect on the B side and rake on crosss promotions. There are near 100 different revenue streams to go into a major event. Their percentage of a fighters take is generally tiny compared to those other revenue streams. People have no clue how much a big fight really makes, it's staggering.

Perhaps so but there is no way GBP is promoting a fight for TMT or any other party for free. Somewhere along the line it is costing that party, be it in actual terms or opportunity cost. Nobody plays getaway driver without getting a cut of the loot.

The promoters are going to get paid one way or another. It's just a matter of if the fighter needs to give them a cut of theirs. Manny is big enough he provides a platform that is profitable without a cut of his.
