Damn, this is getting complicated. You aren't supposed to know anything about that part of the world, now I'll have to do some research and get back to you.

How the hell did this become about race yet again?

Wlad could be transparent, with black extremities, white torso, red hair, and a yellow and purple polka-dotted face. He's still not an ATG, IMO. For several reasons:

    1. He hasn't faced a decent challenger in years.
    2. He was KTFO'ed three times in his earlier years, knockouts that went mostly unavenged.
    3. These KTFO losses came at the hands of fighters of little reknown otherwise.
    4. He's not above fouling in the worst way, to save his brittle chin. Even if it means stinking up the ring with clinching and mauling tactics. For this he mostly gets a free pass from the ref.
    5. He hasn't had that "epic" fight, where he has to get off the canvas or come back to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

I could give a shit what color and nationality he is.
He's as boring as drying paint.
And if he doesn't care, neither do I.

You can thank cyclone for bringing up race.

    1. Ok I guess all those undefeated fighters he beat don't mean much.
    2. He probably also lost a few as an amateur too, want to be a dear and go dig those up? The point is how he has recovered when his career was once on the line...and now he's 10 years unbeaten and a dominant champion. He avenged the loss to Brewster, Corrie Sanders is now sadly deceased, and Ross Purrity is retired (I think) but that fight happened when Wlad was in his early 20's. How many defeats did Mike Tyson avenge? Yeah, that's what I thought
    3. Buster Douglas was well known, Oliver McCall, Hasim Rahman?
    4. It's only a foul if the ref calls it
    5. Get off the canvas to win....hmm I seem to recall Wlad beating Sam Peter having been knocked down 3 times....but that doesn't count because

Ok... we both agree this is "race-less". Beyond that...

    1. Undefeated and still carrying a load of shit in your trunks on the way to the ring still doesn't mean much. Don't try to pass off Wlad's opposition as anything more than assorted trash. It won't work.

    2. No need to dig anything up. The point still stands. Your comparison to Tyson holds no water. After Tyson's defeat at the hands of Douglas, it was mostly downhill from there. Wlad has been champion for a long time.

    3. Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman are better known than Ross Purrity and Lamont Brewster. You won't agree 'cause it doesn't fit your agenda.

    4. Typical answer. If it was Wlad getting fouled, you'd be screaming bloody murder.

    5. Ahh... yes... Klitschko-Peter. Mentioned in boxing circles right along with Ali-Frazier, Norton-Holmes, Lewis-Vitali. What a fucking classic!!

    1. Fine whatever, I forget that 100% of contenders all previous heavyweight champions fought were hall of famers

    2. My comparison to Tyson holds a lot of water but you're looking at it from the angle of "Tyson was washed up" and not "Wladimir learned from his mistakes to become a better fighter", Tyson never learned, he did 1 thing he did it well but when he got in with a fighter who could counter what he did he lost. Maybe it was lack of training and cocaine but you look at Wladimir and tell me where's the motivation for Wlad to stay fit? Where's the motivation for him to train as hard as he does? But I suppose that's not important at all, doesn't fit your agenda all that well.

    3. Rahman and McCall are better known because they picked off a fighter in/approaching his absolute PRIME

    4. Wlad has been fouled NUMEROUS times he just decides to deal with it like an adult.

    5. You said "Wlad hasn't had to get off the canvas to win", I corrected you and because you continue to be such a fucking cunt I'm going to block you as well.

Wlad may become an ATG if he carries on defending and defeating all challengers he can only beat what is in front of him over 10 years. That consistency needs to be recognised because many fighters have failed to do that.

I am normally a fan of Wlad but the Povetkin fight really put me off and makes it hard to defend that performance and consider him an ATG.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

So let me see if I got this straight. One who disagrees with you is a fucking cunt. Interesting. And here I was further up in your post getting set to agree with your assessment of how Wlad has stayed fit throughout his career and deserves kudos for that. But you're incapable of arguing like an adult, so all you deserve are the insults you normally get thrown your way. It's not like I was expecting anything else from you.

    You too.

    I regret making this thread.

The idea of a white boxers being "great" is very upsetting to black supremacists like cyclone and p4pking, since they deeply believe only black boxers can ever be great and all non-black boxers are inferior.

Perhaps the mods should lock this thread.

Perhaps they should, seeing as you're going to keep posting rubbish like that.. I didn't even mention race except to play around with Lyle after we had a communication error, but obviously you are a humourless creep and didn't quite grasp that. I respect Wlad plenty, I don't really enjoy watching him fight but he's probably the boxer I respect most as a man out of any I've ever been aware of.

YOU are the one that feels Black fighters are superior....hence your constant state of butt-hurtness.

It fucks with you that Vlad will NEVER be on the level of those great Black heavies.

Vlad got blasted unconscious by losers that couldn't topple Ali's spit bucket and Vitali QUIT because an Ex middleweight was WALKING HIM DOWN and ROCKING his sorry ass.

Don't give me that shit about an injury because he was throwing with both hands all night.

Even if he were hurt that was still no excuse to quit.

    Ali had a broken jaw...he didn't quit.
Floyd didn't let a shoulder injury punk him out.
Kirkland tore his shoulder to shreds...yet he didn't BITCH OUT like a foreign robot.

The Klits lack toughness and heart...typical..
