Couple things. Tonight when the softball was running late they had the card running on ESPNNews. They often do that so be sure to check through all your ESPN channels before looking for something else.

And 2nd this main event is awful. These guys are both used up. Glad they could get another check but I hope they both retire.

They've def made in another showcase for Delvin, the 18th on air, but going in Alcine was far more gone..on paper anyway. Rodriquez in one fight removed from main eventing HBO and being trumped as evidence of "Cottos destructive return to form". He's not going anywhere soon.

I'm very surprised Alcine has remained upright

I don't think Delvin can hurt him anymore. He's so tired you can barely hear his punches that land anymore. I've never seen anything like it, it's ninja punching.

He really does look like he has to think it first..not putting anything together...uppercuts would do hurtful wonders here. Hard to say if the instinct is that faded or if he is being overly safe knowing its a last stand-no tomorrow if he loses.

Buddy asks for 3 minutes of jabbing Does he think he is actually winning this clear or just want more paydays

I think he just wanted him to get his hands moving hoping instincts would kick in. But he threw what, 12 jabs, 14? Ragged fight.

Awful card by Teddy. Rodriguez clearly won but it was tight because both were so ragged. I think the crappy judges were closer than Teddy.

    97-93 Delvin....96-94 Alcine...95-95 wooooooow. A draw!

ONE example recently...please, please no rematch. Don't do it. Its not shocking really, Delvin allowed him life

Agree with this yeh, he let him linger and showed no consistency on a guy who was shown punchy over last few

Tyler Asselstine and Joel Diaz jr in the ring on Showtime...

Are these guys fighting in someone's basement..never heard a ref echo like this. Diaz has such a wide arsenal of shots. Bad headbutts in first too

Diaz showing holes though he is winning. Squaring up off a throw away feeler jab, way too front heavy and smothers self. He's all straight line and not setting up combinations, let alone throwing them. He gets caught lefts and put on heels in spots

Early on in career they were dropping Fernando Vargas comparison's and even a Brandon Rios similarity (which wasn't a total compliment) ....Don't see either here. He looks tired, slow and easy to time frankly

There's the insurance policy...ref docks a point because Asselstine loses mouthpiece again. Corner tells him he needs a KO, stand there and fight him and go for broke. My mistake gents...8th round. Ref tells him if he loses piece again the fights over...he just hurt Diaz!

Very refreshing to hear a trainer tell the fighter he needs a ko when he actually still has time...crazy 8th round
