Yup... I don't know why people still have this illusion that the athletic commissions are stamping out cheating.
Mosley, Holyfield, Gamboa, ect never tested positive. It took the FBI busting the lab that provided them and finding their names on reciepts. When Margacheato tried to use loaded handwraps, who caught him and stopped him? The commission? No, Mosley's trainer. Who caught Resto after he did irreversible damage to his opponent with loaded gloves? The commission? No. It was Billy Collins' dad who felt Resto's glove after the fight. Lance Armstrong raced hundreds of times and never got caught, and he was the biggest steroid cheat in history.
When you consider that a lot of substances (EPO, HGH, ect) were not tested for for many years and big steroid distributers like BALCO knew all the ins and outs of drug testing and even developed a product that was untraceable by any test, things like that make it hard to believe in the lie that commissions do much to stop these guys.
It's been well documented that Manny's camp, when he was negotiating with Floyd the first time around, sent two emails to Floyd's camp: one asked what the penalty was if Manny tested positive and the second asked that, in the event of a positive test, that the results could be kept a secret for the integrity of boxing and the interest in the fight.
If you're one of these guys that thinks all his favorite fighters are clean because they're "good guys" and if they were cheating they'd be caught, keep living the dream lol
