Would never, could never encourage any relative to become a professional boxer.
Amateur boxing is great, it builds confidence, shows young people that a bloody nose is the beginning of a fight not the end, at times can be useful, and is a terrific way to exercise.
Pro boxing is something entirely different and I would not recommend it to anyone if they had other options at all.
If they were determined, I could not be a part of it!

i would say say that their well being in the obvious first and most important factor. becoming great means nothing if you are brain dead and have a a depressing life. there is more to life than just achieving something. you must achieve it while having your life in order for it to be worth anything.

finances kind of go along with that because some people are idiots with their money and it ruins their life so i would say that that kind of goes along with their well being.

after they are set as a person, then winning and title and getting a legacy is the goal.

I agree I would not want my son part of the game it is corrupt and dangerous.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Good responses and I did not think of the persons character, mentality and personality which will have a huge impact on their climb to success.
